Whhhaaaaaahoooo! First off - Big thanks to those of you who hung out, dropped notes and those who posted pics for me! It ‘appears’ that the fiber optic system is working! Next I’ll have to see about getting my bluetooth fixed. Man, I’ve missed you guys!!!

Things went from pretty spectacular looking around here 2-3 weeks ago, to now looking a little ‘thin’! We got hit with the Andaman monsoon pushing all the way across Thailand’s narrow landmass and 2-3 consecutive days/nights of rain brought on the budrot. :sob: I ran the hypoclorious acid generator and made a few batches…works great but can’t work miracles. The rot that gets sprayed dies almost immediately, but it’ll never be usable. Still, it stops it from spreading anywhere else.

"Incoming!"

I’ve had to chop a lot of stuff that I would have liked to have given another week or two, but the drying tent is bursting at the seams, I had to throw/give away more clothes to make room for jars and there’s shitloads of brown paper bags full of beans hanging everywhere! The Lemon Grove plants all got moved in under a plastic roof and will likely finish up there - mostly smallish plants, some with mold issues. I think after years of trying I have finally reached some kind of peace with the mold issues. It sucks, but going crazy over it doesn’t help them… or me, at all! I just plant so fucking much that some of it’s bound to come through unscathed

Of course there’s always a Silver Lining to all the rains! I always double uP on the cow shit his time of year! They keep changing it’s classification, but these ‘used to be’ Copelandia cyanescenes. I ‘think’ it’s now classified as Panaeolus cyanescens.

Big Winners - @BobbyBudz beans - Powie Wowie, Powie Poison, Baja Blast, Soulmates (and I’m forgetting one!)!. For ease of growing, mold resistance (mostly), finished buds and killer smells - these have it all! Thank you Bobby for letting me try them out! Today we trimmed the single Black Skunk plant and it made me wonder why I didn’t plant loads more? Last time around we had mold issues but this time it came out just fine…and VERY stinky! So stinky that I had to burn multiple sticks of Nag Champa incense in the living room to try to blanket the skunk in the drying tent on the porch while the fiber optics guys did their install! The Soulmates (also from BBdz) were an odd lot; a few were ‘normal’ looking and a few were ‘weird’ with lanky growth form and stretched out buds, but both have a smell that knocks me out! The Strange Fruit x Joker’s Candy (from the Koh Tao boyz) was a giant but a bitch to trim! Yesterday late in the afternoon I rolled uP a big fattie and I’ve decided from now on, that’s the ‘good night’ bud! I haven’t had a case of couch-lock that bad in as looong time! :joy: It’s just ridiculous how much bud I have on hand! Gonna take forever to try them all, and with my memory I’ll probably have to repeat them all a few times!

Well, I may cross things up with some posts made by others in my absence, but I’m gonna dump a big load of pics to make up for lost time…hopefully not too many (but you know me!). I don’t think I’ll have time to organize the order very much, so you may have to skip around to find your kids!

Kerriodoxa elegans

Fiddlewood fantastic smelling flowers and real butterfly magnets! Scent carries a few hundred meters from the trees.

I was noticing all the butterflys and went to take a photo of one…then I noticed that it was actually in the grasp of a well-camouflaged spider!

Bean production has been quite good! Between budrot and that gray gravel floor, I’ve been busy plucking beans from buds for a couple weeks now. I had a lot of the faux Mac1 x Ashava Valley Cheese plants (From @Tuned ) and so decided to hit a few up with different things; Sherbanger x Purple Punch from @Drsunshinestrains , A New Hope x Cobra Lips from @Budderton , as well as some f2’s. My fingers were black, as were the tweezers & clippers!

I was bummed to find that one of the Colombian Gold x Cobra Lips split it’s trunk in the big winds. I didn’t notice it until it was too late!

Pheeeew! That was a load! I’m blown away at the upload speed of the fiber optic system! Now if I can just get my bluetooth working I can cut out the back and forth with What’sApp! :crossed_fingers: Well, it’s great to be back, thanks for sticking around bros & sis’s! Happy growing!

And this little guy. I have 2 of these pitcher plants now. :slightly_smiling_face:

555! I made a nice little black ball from that plant! I’d say cleaning it off the tweezers took 1/10th the time as my fingers… and turned out 5X the amount of finger hash!

Oh yeah bro! You’re gonna looove that one! She’s looking great already, but just wait! And very cool your Nep is making new pitchers! If you hold it up to a light source you’ll notice the digestive fluids are already pumping their way into the pitcher even before the hermetically-sealed lid pops open! Your only problem is…like ganja strains…there’s just too many to grow! Here’s a few from my adventures!

PS - Yes, I’ve grown a ‘few’!

I’ve never noticed the fluids in the pitcher before. I just took another picture with the sun behind, you can see the level.
Amazing.

Yeah, people often think it’s rain water in the pitchers, but if you look at an opened pitcher you’ll notice the lid (except for one vegetarian species) always covers the opening of the peristome to keep the rain from diluting the digestive fluids.

I was doing research on them decades ago and found an obscure journal entry from an early Brit botanist traveling in Sumatra. They were exploring far into a peat bog forest when one of the party slit his hand badly with a machete while opening a tin of beans! The swamps were fetid and the only ‘clean’ water they had to wash the wound was that from some nearby unopened Nepenthes pitchers. It was noted that the wound healed quickly w/no infection.

I worked in Conservation of critically endangered SE Asian plant species and this is the type of lead I was looking for! Ended up working with Thailand’s top scientists and research institutes to bio-assay all 13 Thai Nepenthes species’ bacterial and fungal species living in the digestive fluids. The only way I saw to ‘save’ some species was to make them of value! There are now 13 US/Intrn’l patents (that I know of!) based on various aspects of Nepenthes pitchers.

Very cool plants!

Yo Bro!!

I was so happy to see your message you got the fiber hooked today!
Its so nice to get home and see the wonders of @Tlander 'S garden.

All the “other” plants are amazing, love seeing the variety you have.

The mushy’s look so cool too.

Hope all your help is back as It looks as though you need the full-time trimmers back!

Those LA affies x ahp look super sativa leaning! stretching out like crazy.

I cracked some of the black skunk too and can’t wait to see how they turn out.

The bean run looks to have been stellar as well…Awesome job.

Great to have ya back!

Cheers bro!
