Budhhas Cane transplanted to Octopots this morning.
Did you use clones or seed
These are from seed. Fems
You’ll see some amazing root development then
I see you do what I do don’t fill the rez make them work for there’s water lol
Great job bro
I don’t use the steel support fence
? How do you place the bag?
Does the bag sit in the rez ?
Did you buy the one from the Octopot peeps or use galvanized steel?
Inquiring minds need to know ?
I like that it seems easy to fill
They call it a grid. I bought them with my octos, but you could make them. They aren’t bags. They are sleeves that go over the grids. I put it inside down to the wick then fold the remainder over the top of the grid and down to the rez cover. Very few roots grow through the sleeve just a bit around the bottom. Easier to clean when done.
They are easy to fill.
Yep filled them about 1/4" over Level one. they will wick up that 1/4 " and then Ill maintain them at level one till the roots are in the rez
Great my bags have roots going throughout the bag and a pita to clean
I know @Syn uses these grids as well
I’ve been on the fence about using them I may just give them a try
That’s why I mentioned it. You were talking about it in a thread I read.
If you want to make grids I can give you the dimensions of mine.
Just let me know. You will have to buy or figure out something for the sleeves. Maybe @Syn has something to add.
I thought so. Easy enough and cheaper.
easy to throw away when it gets nasty too
Does the light fabric color affect the roots?
not at all, its just what they had and its the same thickness of the bags you get from octopot
(insider info, the bags they make are made from weed control fabric)
Tent #1 13 days since flip. Little one in the front is a GG4 waiting on pollen from a friend.
