For all you purple bud lovers

Yep! I’m going to use their runoff system. I’m also going to bug the hell out of @Crafty_Flame.

This thread is weak.
Dude brings up the value of an AC and all you guys do it post pics of purple buds without AC.

Already a thread for that… Obviously there are genetically purple buds. Obviously new growers are obsessed with LEDs.

All in ALL an AC in a grow room is baller as hell. Most of these kids arent on that level.

Yeah! I hate it when people post pics and have fun on forums! They should be reserved for me, for complaining and angry rants only! dam kids and their skates boards…stay off my lawn…

Based on the back and forth in this thread I’d say that isn’t obvious.

I think we are just discussing senescence in here… you’re welcome to join, dad.

Op posted inferring that cold temps were so necessary for colors that they posted about ac setup. It’s helpful and valid, but others are pointing out it’s probably an unnecessary expense if you’re purchasing and mounting an ac explicitly for color… hot grow room? Ac. I mean, are you saying we don’t care about environment? Maybe learn something from these kids. Or don’t. Your call

well, I figured if there was a strain that automatically turned purple I’d know, along with the rest of the growers, but, after this thread ill take my leave from overgrow, hope I managed to help some growers, ill try another forum or the books that I bought

That’s a bit dramatic isn’t it? You proposed that AC was a good way to get plants to turn purple, nobody disagrees with you but people are simply pointing out it may be an unnecessary cost and hassle as their is a ton of genetic purple available to growers. This seems weird to me as the exchange of ideas is what we are all here for. I’m not sure what you are upset about but where I come from that is called a healthy conversation.

I did hear / read somewhere that purple leaves actually slow down/ make less efficient photosynthesis in a plant. I dont think this relates to the bud but primarily only the leaves.

i would have to go back an re read the whole thread to weigh in.
I saw the op make a valid point and a bunch of people discredit him.
Personally i dont think making buds turn purple is worth anything except bag appeal.
Theoretically purple pigments give the plant less of an ability photosynthesis. In a nut shell that doesn’t sound beneficial.

I stand by my statement that an AC in the growroom is baller.

You should check out this article.

No one did that, people just pointed out you don’t need an AC unit to do that. Presenting different or new information that someone isn’t aware of isnt “discrediting” them, it’s the exchanging of ideas and knowledge.

Maybe start with reading the thread before you angrily weigh in next time? You might come off as looking less Psilly :grinning:

so you want an analysis of the whole fuckin thing

op- shares a method they use
OG- do it differently- do it how i do it
OG asking op if they are serious while sharing irrelevant facts
og more irrelevant facts
OP trying to play nice
justAnobody does mention genetics play the biggest part ( relevant!) good job
OG - continues to agrees with other OG members while dismissing ay truth of OP
bunch of stuff…
OP is still valid. That doesn’t mean everyone should put an AC in their room

I usually bring down the temps for in my opinion a better product with the purple just being a side effect. Knowing when and how to use lower temps to increase potency and flavor is almost a lost art in weed growing today

Nobody did this, they just said that’s not the ONLY way to do so.

I see someone pissed in your cereal again, I hope your day gets better.
