Well in this case I had one older plant that turned out male, then 3 younger ones turned out male so I really didn’t have to worry about it.
And we have am ungodly amount of pollen and looks likes seeds in the making. I was covered in yellow dust just from taking these pics from each plant
@DougDawson i got it figured out lol
Not going to lie those seed pods had me thinking they hermied on me
Theres 9 pics idk why only 6 ate showing up for me unless I click on them
@Guitarzan do you see anything out of place ?
Hey @Donnie. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, man. I seem to be running about a day or two behind on every thing.
Man, I think they look fine. If they dropped enough pollen to dust you while you were taking pictures, I’d say you’re good.
I only have one question. Did you save any of that pollen? If not, I’d try to save some. It’s no biggie if you can’t, but either way, the boys have done their duty, chop 'em.
One more thing, pollen’s like dust, and if it’s too thick on the leaves, it’ll reduce the amount of light hitting the leaf surface. Given the amount of pollen you’re talking about, I’d take those girls outside while the weather’s agreeable, and hose them down real good.
My understanding is that, regardless of the flowering time for bud, once a plant is pollinated, the seeds are done in 6-8 weeks. If that’s true, and given the size of those female plants, you’re gonna be up to your ass in seeds by Christmas.
IMO, the hard part’s done. Just keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working.
Ok thank you I was looking for insight . I was planning to pull the males and start shaking pollen because the plants are getting ridiculously covered in pollen. Seeds are already forming. So thank you for insight and guidance , glad it was the same as my thoughts as well. Time to move forward . I will start shaking pollen for a few days then I will do away with them and pull the girls out and spray them down and clean the tent .
It looks to me like you have plenty of female flowers fertilized. Probably is a good idea to get rid of the male plants and hose down the ladies. Leftover pollen in the room will continue to make the rounds, so you’ll have to spray that down with water or water/ bleach when you feel like the plants have had enough. Too many seeds and the plants will make substandard seed. Looks like you are in the sweet zone.
If you feel that there are male plants that didn’t get a chance to make any babies, maybe leave those for just a tad longer. Great work!
( edit. I see how old yr post was now. How did you make out?
Guess we will never find out …
His account’s suspended, so I don’t think he’s going to be answering or completing the preservation run any time soon.
The run was completed in spite of his account being suspended and freakers received seeds. Props to @Donnie!
