Thanks for that link for the vials. I’m going to order some today. Perfect timing for me. I haven’t used the old DVD trick since covid-19 began. Just worried about the length of time it takes for it to arrive using regular mail, but since the seeds are well protected, they should be fine sitting for awhile. And you can fit a lot of those viles in a DVD case!
Good to see you. How’s the research/ planning/ vehicle coming along? I put a feeler out yesterday to a preservationist from Mexico, asking for any tips or advice for your travels. Your ears must have been ringing…
@Santiago_and_Dunbar , both @Instg8ter and @lefthandseeds have grown Bodhi’s Acapulco indoors. They should be able to help you out. I’ve seen some pictures of it and it looks very nice.
If you end up germinating some seeds, please come on over to the Central American landrace thread and post some pictures, start a grow journal.
Just ordered. Long overdue for me to get those vials. Only $10 for 500. I can’t believe i waited so long to get them. Thanks for that link. Be here Tuesday.
Lmao. …
I write or tell them its led replacement lights.
If we dont have Ace Seeds Thai Chi I think we should. I didnt see it before. They fem seeds.

I took a female to around 14 weeks, never quite finished. Make sure your lights are at full power and I would try going down to 11/13 half way through flower. Plants are tall (6’ in 3 gallon) and whispy like wheat growing a loose Xmas tree shape. Taste is burnt buttered popcorn with a spacy up buz that creeps up on you. Good breeding stock, not something to run for head stash unless you like a 20 week harvest.
Don’t sleep on them!
Beautiful plants. Were these regs or feminized? I don’t suppose they’re around any longer from Bodhi? Perhaps those last couple weeks would have given some added bulk and potency. Determining ripeness on these sativas is a whole new ball of wax if you’re used to Growing hybrids. I had a tough time, and feel like I picked too late in some instances. It’s also strange because rather than a whole plant ripening at once, sometimes just buds ripen individually, and they are not always the oldest buds either.
I crossed some lowers with the triple Durban pollen I believe, have to pull the jars out, it’s on a 8 month cure now, have to do another taste test and shuck some seeds. I still have a few Bodhi left also for a bx male on my Monkey Paw project
Something just occurred to me. I have that one! Thank you Lefthandseeds!
I wish I had some room to grow this one along with the Highland Guerrero for the Central American land race thread. I think oaxacan and Panama will be keeping me busy though. All the Mexicans along with an island Kona, and a gifted Rastafarian Jamaican are in flower and topped once.
Thanks, I’ve missed it here! I haven’t actually done any research or planning yet; it’s terrifying. Everything, so far, has been money/logistics/vehicle focused. I knew, going into this, that money was going to be one of the major issues, especially since time is so short. I’ve got the money part figured out, to rebuild and then outfit my vehicle and fund the trip. I feel like that was the most difficult part of planning. I can make just about anything appear out of thin air… except money. Now I just need to find a shop or mechanic than can build it out. I don’t have the time or know-how to do it myself, and it’s a pretty extensive job. Somehow, though, Insurmountable obstacles keep being surmounted; I think the universe wants me to do this trip, otherwise it wouldn’t be helping so much. So, I have faith. It even looks like the land borders will be open… I just need to stop putting off getting the vaccine.
I’ve been doing daily Spanish practice/refreshing, too. Pretty soon, I’m going to start researching and planning routes and search areas. Security in Mexico is now my biggest remaining concern. It usually wouldn’t bother me too much if I were on foot. Mounted travel is really a different animal. Some of my search areas will be in parts of Mexico where safe passage should be arranged beforehand via extra governmental forces. That’s going to present a unique challenge and I have three potential courses of action I’m working on that front.
Don’t do it, it’s a trap, a trick. No good comes from it
Can’t help but agree that healthy people shouldn’t get it… I don’t like vaccine use for viruses that are not extremely fatal . I feel like we’re risking something worse using vaccines rather than taking it on the way Humanity always has, by getting infected and building up immunity. But it may be mandatory for crossing borders, and should you happen to be one of the rare people that gets very sick from it, you wouldn’t want to be in the middle of nowhere when that happens… unless it’s another vaccine that’s being spoken of, like something for Malaria or Yellow fever.
@Eudaemon, wish I knew of someone that could help with your vehicle outfitting. I have a friend that turned a golf cart into a snowmobile LOL, but I know little about that type of thing myself. It’s out of my league. One thing I do know though. The universe is on your side. It wants you to be successful. The Western hemisphere has been hit particularly hard by hybridization, due to the close proximity to the United States, and the open border that allows genetics to flow freely in both directions. If anyone can find the original untainted landraces, it will be you. I’m sure you have a decent map of the original growing regions, and the new regions used now. I think the periphery of those regions might be your best bet. In Close enough proximity to be the same landrace, but far enough away that it wasn’t hybridized by stray pollen. Far enough away from the cartels so that the weed being grown by the person wasn’t forcibly changed to whatever they wanted grown instead.
Security is definitely going to be an important one on this search. I’m hoping I can get some help for you from one of the locals…
Unfortunately, I’m not going to be allowed to leave and re-enter the country without one, I’m nearly certain. It’s going to be 100% a requirement soon for international travel, with vaccine passports and ID cards coming soon. This is one of those things where I don’t think I can wiggle my way through this requirement. I think the world is going to get a lot more controlled and less free in the coming months and years.
I was a skeptical as anyone about these vaccines being rushed out and all the possible bad things that could go along with them. Since they have approached rollout, Ive done a lot of digging. The science is there and it’s solid. They are very helpful.
From a medical/scientific perspective, there is not reason to be scared or this vaccine or most vaccines as they are one of the most successful tools that modern medicine has given us. Despite what their critics say the potential downside to vaccines is minuscule, especially when compared to nearly every other class of pharmaceutical. Many over the counter medications actually have a higher risk factor.
The way over use of antibiotics both in humans and live stock presents much greater, imminent issues to the health of humans, animals and the ecosystem as a whole.
On a ranked list of concerns with the pharma industry, vaccines should be way far down the list compared to nearly everything, but especially opioids and antibiotics.
Thank you for reaching out! I will definitely make a thread if the seeds get to me (the post is a bit screwy right now it seems) and if it’s even something that I can handle, if not I’ll be happy to donate to preservation list if they meet the criteria.
Wow, thanks for that! So this is some serious, real deal shit? I’ve honestly never had or seen anything like it, when I was growing up we were buried in Sour Diesel, White Rhino/Widow, G13, Beasters, “dro”, and haze. Never experienced a proper landrace (at least I don’t think). Maybe something like this would be better suited to a seed run so it can make it to the people who can/want to take it all the way. Thanks again.
When the time comes, I volunteer to package (vials), ship in Padded Envelopes w/Tracking (USA ONLY), my expense. Tracking doesn’t apply Internationally. It’s a Two-Person Post Office in my little Town, all are aware of my “posting habits”. Just tossing it out there. Do SS/BW…mister
Thanks so much @misterbee. that would be a huge help and would make my seed donations a lot easier.
I think the freakers will turn out to be a very successful little breeders collective.
