Garvey as well as MANY other Pan African and Rastafari “leaders” were Prince Hall Masons… From Africa, to the Caribbean, to America.

I will start logging my grow here (OG) of Sierra Leonean landrace seeds I’m sitting on. There are Rastafarians in Sierra Leone with grow ops, besides regular farmers who also grow for animal feed/crops, who grow Jamaican genetics there. Curious to see the similarities and differences. Genetics are not mixed with Jamaicans, but are of similar type. Will see soon

Why is being a “Prince Hall Mason”, as you said, "all you need to know? As a “Prine Hall Mason” since 1974, an Instructor of the Policies, Principils, and Rituals associated with the first Three Degrees of Masonry, I would like to know. Maybe I can factually enlighten such a perception. From a request by General George Washington himself, the King of England granted Prince Hall a “Dispensation” to form a Masonic Order for the THEN Negroes, the ONLY Masonic Order in America with that Honor. Not hating on Masons. I appreciate Manly P Hall, Albert Mackey, and so many other “brothers”, initiates, adepts, masters, etc. from all time periods. I admire the hermetic roots and the ancient and timeless wisdom of the mysteries, to include masonry
My family is from Sierra Leone. We are aware of Freemasonic roots in n American and W. African cultures pre and post slavery and colonization in US and Sierra Leone. Liberia, Freetown, etc… have lodges. I have family members initiated in the societies… It’s tradition. My brother in law is a Mason.
But … as for my point,It’s recorded that Garvey was associating with Grand Cyclops’ and other Klansmen regarding blacks/whites/separatism…etc. He’s presented in a way that’s not transparent. He was engaging with other Masons and using Masonic ties to further agendas and goals (specifically in the black communities in NYC and surrounding areas).
Some Masons use masonry for personal gains, others don’t. Same with the boules and Greek letter societies. Some build up and others build in the opposite direction. Example …Booker T Washington was a PH… Man did some great things in impacting his community. WEB DuBois was a PH…I believe he was a snake who negatively impacted his community… But both were PH.
I served in the USAF…some joined out of tradition, patriotism…and some just wanted money, benefits, and access. Is Masonry any different?
He was moving on an agenda people were not privy to. He wasn’t leveling with the people who saw him as a leader but he was with the brothers he associated with. Not signs of honest character.
Garvey used his political and Masonic ties to further his goal… That’s all I need to know is what I meant.

It may have been mentioned here but…Has anyone tested any of their Jamaicans for terp profiles or THC and specifically THCV?

I agree with that assessment, really. I’m not a “Garvey Fan”, myself. ANYONE who uses a “Faternal Order” for personal enrichment is NOT a Hero in my eyes. SS/BW…mister

I wonder if this made its way back to the island or not. So much speculation on what Dutch stuff was grown there around that time.
The trips I made from 99-02 there was definitely the local stuff, but the tourist varieties were Skunk and Alaska.

I would absolutely love some lambs bread, tried to grow a Jamaican strain last year and it turned male late in the season, but was a massive plant. Biggest I’ve ever grown. It was major creeper weed in Jamaica that I got the seeds out of.
