Thanks for that, I have given water once and nothing else. In my opinion during dry times they grow more roots and less vegetation. Then , during rains the vegetation catches up. Frequent watering will cause the roots to run shallow and only leads to more watering.

Give them some coconut water, good for the roots and gives some extra nutrients too.
