Last season I finished a Vietnamese Black on Nov 11. We had a couple cold (25 f) nights near the end of November. Conditions were good until almost Christmas. It is possible for severe cold here on November, but the last few seasons have been mild.

Other than the boycott post - this is the only other mention of alchemy* in this thread.
Curious about the boycot thing as well - I read the first post in this thread didn’t see any specific reference - is it solely on the fact that they are selling these seed when this line was never meant for that?

It’s not just exotic selling Lambsbread. There’s a few more people selling it too. The boycott Roms is talking about is just not to buy it from those places. Not boycotting their other seeds too. It’s been common knowledge for years that selling Lamsbread directly especially if you weren’t one of the first group to start sharing it was looked down upon by everyone. And if you did buy it from somewhere you now have an obligation to spread it around freely to balance out the karma

If there is anyone in the US w/ some lambsbread beans to share, I’d love to give them a try. I could share some flips, washers, stamps, cards, envelopes with that person in return to help make it easer to continue share with others.
Thanks to all for doing what ya do, I like the spirit of it. I don’t sell anything related to the plant, I tried when I was much younger, but always felt like I was taking from someone, it didn’t feel right. No judgement towards those that do; it’s just not for me.

this is more of a question than a statement, but requires the backstory. i’m hoping some Jamaican aficionados may have heard of this, or know if it’s even still around.
i went to jamaica in 1999 for a week trip. as is customary, i like to see the land, plants animals and locals so find ways to get off the base/reservation/resort and go meet the locals.
right off the plane at the airport we scored some ganja they called “Ice”. we smoked it and liked it a lot, but were determined to find some locally grown everywhere we went. dunns river falls, blue mountain, etc. i would find one of the guide kids and ask him to get us some local ganja. they would run off, come back in 10min with a hastily rolled joint and make a crisp $10 - $20 USD.
long story short the jamaican “Ice” was the BEST we sampled all week long.
i decided i was going to try and smuggle some seeds back. i did, and was successful in getting them past customs.
had a friend who said we could grow in her garden in her back yard (they had about 3 acres). got them about knee high and her husband found them, was pissed (she didn’t ok it with him) and told us to either cut them or get them the f^ck out of his property. we did. they died a week later. didn’t transplant well. 
coming back to growing after all these years away from weed, i started looking for jamaican ice. i have never found it.
does anyone know of or have heard of jamaican ice?

Since decade i sent hundreds free seeds to the U.S., F4, F5, F6 and F7. And more hundreds to Canada, Mexico, Colombia. And more hundreds here in Europe or to South Africa, Asia and even Australia.
It cost me really dearly in the end and only Jah knows and thanks.

Now i also have to say that i live alone without family and since also a decade I live in poverty while suffering from a disability after a hard car crash (pain leg complex syndrome). Anyway today iam stronger than ever and my label too, count on me for the next twenty years, i’m 46 since 3th of June. Peace and irie!
