Nice!! That’s an excellent collection. I hope you get the four winds bridgesii; there is something very, very special looking about them! Do you have any favorites? There is something about the Peruvian that resonates with me far more than the rest.

I have taken a possibly permanent hiatus from psychedelics after a ‘challenging’ mushroom trip last year, but my heart and spirit remains open to future cactus sacrament; it’s such a gentle spirit guide with a kind, feminine energy. It’s one of my favorite entheogens to introduce people to.

If you ever need help tracking down a cutting, I used to be pretty active in the entheogenic cactus trading community. Though I will say, the cactus cutting market has gotten really bad over the years. It’s always been a little bad with greed and competition surrounding ‘elite cuttings’, especially in European and Australian markets. Now, it’s just like cannabis–hoarding genetics and charging as much as humanly possible. For what, 3-4% alkaloid content instead of 2%? For novelty? It makes me sad and cynical.

So the Peruvian hits hard and fast, probably unbearable for some people. The Bolivian has a alkaloid in it that slows down the mescaline onset making it a easier transition. It is sad how people’s greed and ego make them become selfish coveting buttholes when in reality your almost never the only one with something and if you are it is selfish to risk it’s extinction based on your own self full fillment.
The ones I have are for ornamental purpose Itwould be sad to cut into them and harm them in any way, maybe when there much larger and have some pups.

I used to think the same way, but then I kind of had a perspective shift. I had beautiful, grand cacti scattered around my place. I started chopping them up, aggressively, and planting the cuttings everywhere. Eventually–and before I moved–I had hundreds. I no longer had any grand plants, but I was so surrounded by cacti–and felt I did them a service by helping them reproduce–that it heightened the magic a bit. Now, as soon as a cactus is rooted enough to survive being chopped, I cut and plant. It doesn’t take any energy on my part, and a world with more cacti is always better.

Very cool, I’ve made a few propagated succulents from leaves and sections that broke off other plants. I’ve actually been looking for various hot pepper seeds/plants lol, just didn’t think to look/ask here for something besides cannabis.

:man_facepalming: Just realized that you’re talking about psychedelics lol.

I have a three foot or so tall San Pedro. I have never used or processed any cacti. Any guide you recommend for processing this girl? I’d hate to have to use the whole thing but she recently got a little pup coming off the top of her I could cut and repot so as to keep her around still.

Do you have a picture of the cactus? It doesn’t have a terrible amount of bearing since alkaloid content can’t be judged by visual phenotypic expressions alone. Either way, I am going to recommend all three feet, taking the top few inches, though, and making a new plant/cutting from that. I am a big proponent of ‘curing’ the cactus to increase potency. I will take the cut cactus barrel and put it in the sun (only if its a very dry climate), rotating it every couple of days. After a couple weeks, but before it starts shooting adventitious roots out, I move them to the fridge and leave them for a couple months. I’ll rotate them weekly or so in the fridge, too. If I can’t stop the adventious root growth, I’ll just go ahead and start the processing for consumption. After these months of curing, the cactus will be intensely bitter from alkaloids. Mescaline taken via cactus brew will always be wildly variable in terms of dosage. You won’t know whether your cactus is 0.5% mescaline or 2% mescaline. Which means your dosage estimations could be off by an order of magnitude. Thankfully, the cactus is the most forgiving of all spirit guides. There is no real overdose potential. If you drink the liquid, the cactus will take care of you. It only gives you what you can handle, unlike DMT and Mushrooms.

(Edit: I am not implying you cant have a bad mescaline trip, only describing the overall feel and nature of the trip as I have experienced and witnessed them. Bad trips and interactions are always possible)

I carefully de-spine it with those electrician sharp wire cutter/strippers, but anything works. I keep the skin. I don’t divide the cactus. Some people don’t consume the core, but it does still contain active alkaloids. I cut the cactus into stars and freeze them and thaw them a couple times, then put them in a giant pot, add some water and bring them to a super low simmer and use an immersion blender. I’ll cook this cactus fiber/sludge on low heat for a long time, several hours, then I’ll add more water, remove the cactus fiber/pulp and put it in a pillow case and wring it out, capturing the liquid.

Now, you’re done, sort of. Now, its just a matter of simmering it down to a quantity you can consume without throwing up. Some people like to do a super, super thick and revolting, soupy shot glass of liquid. I’d rather do a pint of thinner, slightly less revolting liquid, personally. Whichever you choose, remember: Mind over matter. Drink it all. Also, make sure you’re in a safe space and will be in a positive environment for the entire week after. Mescaline has a way of stripping you of your ‘adult armor’. It gives me a childlike vulnerability for a solid week after.

Damn, I was just hoping for you to point me towards a website or forum. You really went above and beyond. I’m in the woods now but will give this a thorough going over, a few times, and then give it a shot. I really appreciate you typing all that out in a manner that even I think I can follow without screwing it up. Much love

Love to add that to my Purps collection @Badger…I’ll put you down for testers and we’ll see if we can stress test the mail again. Last 3 of the AG I had were in the lost package. Hoping it will find its way too you eventually. On the hunt for more, I do have a small clone I’ve been letting live under my big Vietnam Black (1/8 Romulan), hoping that will bare some trippy Fruit. That I can share…

I just have trouble getting myself to go to bed when I’m doing gardening lol. Even with my “regular” gardening stuff. I always find myself outside at midnight messing with my berry and pepper plants, all summer I was picking off various beetles that munch on leaves at night, or turning over my compost bin.
Maui wowie is such a classic/famous strain, that I would love to grow some just so I can try it, then that cherry bomb just sounds interesting lol.

Any sativa landrace or IBL from Asia, Latin America, Africa, Jamaica, etc. So Punto(a) Red, Colombian Gold, Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, Thai, Chocolate Thai, Mango Thai, Lao, Any Mexican Sativas, Malawi, Lesotho, Durban, Kerala Gold or any other Indian Sativa.

Or, an established sativa strain that isn’t a polyhybrid or far removed from the original heirlooms, like haze. I’m actually just looking any sativa that is super-sativa in its effects. Psychedelic, panic inducing, racy, creative, euphoric. I am looking for a sativa that is a tiny bit unpleasant. I’d like to try and work with some of those characteristics. I’m looking for any sativa that makes you say at some point, “please just let this end…”

That sounds like a super interesting plant–that’s a nice combination of parents. Unfortunately, I am just getting back into cannabis after a multi-year hiatus and don’t have any cannabis seeds to trade. I’ve got San Pedro–mescalinic cacti–cuttings, and nightshade seeds like belladonna, datura, tobacco, and brugmansia.

I’ll have more seed stock to trade once I finish this pollination and start my next grow. It’s been tough starting over from scratch. Keeping it super simple has helped, though.
