I was just about to ask when I read that post. I love how the Cure brings out hidden smells and flavors. The Malawi is starting to get that tropical fruit smell when I open the jar. The Durban is still more musky, a smell I really don’t know how to describe. It’s definitely a smell I’ve had in some of the lines I’ve grown throughout the years from my uncle’s stock, from which I eventually pulled out a nearly pure Durban phenotype that I named Little Miss stinky.
Anybody ever run classics Durb
You mean classic Durban, or a seed company named classics?
Aint you ever heard of Classic before?
I caught it, answered my own question
I’ll have to check my seed stock and see what’s left of the shiskaberry. There is a plan in the works to make fresh stock but that’s down the road a ways ,I’ve passed a few out to members that asked for it but haven’t seen much grown out or heard of someone making fresh seed yet .
My seed originated out of BC mid 70’s from breeder Steve if I remember right. Or spice of life like you mentioned .
Approximately every 5/7 years fresh seed was made depending on the quality of the old stock it might of got remade once every 10 years if germ rates stayed high.
There is a limited number of S1 that have been made just recently as the first step to preserving the line with a run of reg seeds getting made on the luck of finding a suitable male which shouldn’t be too difficult as the males seem to always appear in a 10 lot getting sprouted … send me a private message and I’ll get back with you once I see what’s left in the vault .
Another dinosaur been round long time
Wow that looks awesome! Might work outdoors here too. I’d love to give it a try.
Thanks brother, chalk it up to good breeding, I wanna see a few grows of F1 since that girl was right out of the gate with only 3 seeds dropped. Love to see if there’s any phenos in the F1. I’ll be getting your addy to send a bunch of the F2’back for you to hunt…
Right on, thanks. I’ve been getting my F1 stock out there, so we might see some grows coming up soon. I really want to grow some, but I can’t keep up with all the stuff I want to grow right now. I’m filling tents with 1 at a time, so at best only getting to a half dozen per year.
Good problem to have.
Same here have chocolate thai all over the place…then the Mexican Run, then a fruit run…
Keep up the good work!
Greetings all,
I’m wondering if anyone has any bog blue moon rocks or blue kush that they would like to trade? Or maybe the sour bubble. I have a few things to trade. Blessings and peace!!
looking for Laos and Cambodian strains please, also some older kali mist lines if anyone has.
I’ve got his Sour Blutooth which is a cross of Blue moon rocks and Sour bubble. Hit me up in the dm if interested in trading!
Where are you at? I have plenty.
Have you ever run the classic Durban? I’ve never even smoked it. You mean Durban like Mel Frank has, right? 70’s Durban? Tropical Seed Company used to have one called 70s Durban. I slept on that one.
Breeder - Classic
Durban Poison
I was looking at handling Tropicals gear about 5 years ago and backed away.
That should be a good one!
FWIW I think @Yaxu said it was the same as cannabiogen’s.
They probably are the same. I think I had heard that before come to think of it. After doing some more research I do believe that cannabiogen Durban is legit. I just need to run more numbers to find one like you had. There was a short bushy phenotype described in the original Durban, and cannabiogen must have heavily selected towards that one because It’s size is great for indoors. You got lucky finding that beautiful long flowering pheno so quickly. I have to remind myself I’m dealing with a landrace now, not a modern hybrid. It takes more searching for that perfect specimen sometimes, which is what makes it so special when you find it.
