Hey @foxtailor you might want to check out Hoku seeds. They have a couple strains that are high in THC-V and their prices are very reasonable. And they throw in a bunch of freebie seeds too

I feel ya man, I drove to santa cruz to try to get some of them only a few months after they dropped and both dispos that got them were bone dry. The fact that I haven’t seen a single grow of this anywhere makes me think it was pro breeders who sent their minions to snatch up all the free seeds for themselves :worried:

The Ethiopian seems interesting and would be a strain to start with at 2% THCV and had look at it prior…
Quite late flowering times set it back a bit though…
Anyway, on my list now. :slight_smile:

Thanks @firehead i just had a look at Hoku Seed Co.
The Syrian V probably seems definitely worth a try.
Have you had experiences with their THCV-richer strains yet,
also about flowering times?

That might be a thought to consider, now that you mention it.
It is surprisingly little to be found online about people that actually got a hold or grew the Free the V beans, considering that Jade Nectar gave away 900 packs, if i remember correctly.
It would be interesting to know how much feedback he got on his THCV public domain feeback page.

This year, I did buy the Syrian V and a few other interesting strains from Hoku… but I haven’t gotten to grow any yet. I’m hoping to get some space freed up in a tent to grow some over the winter

I was interested with THCV but really looking for narcotic strains
zz|nullxnull, so only indicas on my tents …

I am interested for the same reasons. High thcv and semi-auto traits are great for crosses that finish up north.
The Syrian V would be a alternative since Syrian also has semi-auto genes. It would probably require more work because it would be best to stabilize the Syrian V first to be able to make reliable early flowering F1s with her.

THCV is quite able to “override” any couchlock you have for an hour, CBG also works similarly. For Pain i can recommend you CBC strains like dream tonic - HAG.
