Thanks my brother. It wont be anything like the farm, but I’m hoping to get something interesting going. You’ve recovered from your incident and good to go?
Nice strains! The crack is something we’re going to be chasing hard for next season. What’s the rhino ryder? Something to do with white rhino? That is some very nice smoke and in demand from the missus. Are you running a log mate?
When the moon is full it’s hard to resist
I was just out looking at the gaps in the tray thinking we’ve got seeds, starters and enthusiasm; maybe I should fill it. But, carting water is a PITA, so common sense prevailed lol
It’d be great to watch those grow. Your nigx sounds very interesting, and anything with white and purple is bound to be a winner!
Yessir feeling a lot better thanks … glad to be able to have my ass back to farming …
I love GDP … hope yours turns out ok
Good to hear mate. There’s something about working with the earth that helps mend body and spirit right?
And being home is always good.
Purple has been a staple for the last 6 years or so of the cashcrop, it’s a solid return for sure.
6 days from soak, and 5 since they went in the soil; absolutely nothing. To be honest, I was expecting something to of sprouted. I’ll give it a little longer, but pretty keen to see some kind of action happening…
Well 0/40 have popped. Contaminated soil, bad juju, who knows. Pretty disappointing whichever way it’s looked at…
So put 5 GG#4 won from a competition at the best website on the net, go overgrow!
They’ve just finished a 12 hour soak, 2 have started to crack. This time they are going the paper towel in a zip bag hanging on the fridge route, so I can see what’s going on exactly.
Man, what’s the deal?! Mine are not germing like normal either! I was blaming it on a different bottled water, but I dunno?! Is Friday the 13th full moon bad luck for planting lmao?!
Yeah I don’t know. Just had a random dig, and the 5 i bought up haven’t done a thing. I’ll just let them all sit, see if they decide to do anything i guess
All five of the GG#4 had tails wagging last night when i glanced at them on the way pass. Found 5 spare minutes this evening to put them into peat pots and get them out into the sunshine. 2 had helmets off. Hopefully the other 40 seeds will see what they’re supposed to do
Busier than a one legged bloke in a arse kicking contest, but I’m hoping to recover the non-responding seeds this weekend and give them the wet paper towel treatment… Is that waterboarding for seeds?
I’m really hoping the seed raising mix i used isn’t corrupted in some way, guess I’ll know in a few days to a week anyway
The GG are seedlings. Slow but steady looking.
Dug out the seedsman seeds and 10 of Sebrings SSDD.
Put the SSDD into peat bags, just to see. Need to wetpapertowell some though.
3/5 GDP showed tails from wetpapertowelling, I don’t expect any to survive though. One of the non-viable hadn’t cracked but shot out a ultra-thin root about two inches long. One has cotyledon and stem but terminates with no roots.
5/5 WW are planted. Cotyledon and root. Not especially strong looking, but they have had a rough start.
Long weekend away and lost all except one GG#4.
Something is telling me it’s just not meant to be this year.
One lone GG#4 is …alive.
@TeamOG This log can be binned/archived, as you will.
Cheers,
Jay
Been following the moon planting for a bit now FWIW my info I have is to plant seed a few days prior to the New Moon and maybe a few days past it so in theory you missed the optimal planting date by two weeks . I really think their is something to moon planting not only do I see more success in seeds but the ability to have a higher success rate when cloning also.
Next new moon this month is Oct 27th I’d say try a direct plant into media around this time … sorry to hear of your loss of so many seeds I had shitty luck with a ten pack or so years ago sucks when ya loose 75$+ But they did get replaced .
FWIW Iv been playing around with my new wicking systems in 16 oz cups and not paying much attention to moon phases I dropped two seeds on the 25th looking back now it was 3 days before the new moon of Sept in soil and both were through the soil right at 3 days .
