G’s ongoing grow diary (Currently Midnight Cowboy and Divine Intervention from Bodhi)

I probably should have cleaned up the lowers more before going into flower but I was on a tight schedule of transplanting and flipping only a few days later.
Did a nice big cleanup today on day 14 of flower, these girls are looking good!
Took off about 100 snips total yet from the top it hardly looks like I did a thing! Hopefully that wasn’t too aggressive of a pruning for them

Divine intervention and back middle MC are getting tall on me here :grimacing:
Day 15 of flower and my light hangers are maxed out at 11-12 inches above the top colas, I’ll get another 2.5 inches of height from zip tying the lights to the top of the tent

Back middle getting some purps and frost on the sugar leaves, night temps are pretty high at 76-77ish so definitely the mendo coming out nicely

Divine intervention is just a little taller than the back middle MC, much more lanky though and smaller bud sets so far

Got quite the stretch going in the back row, I hit the lone DI girl with pollen from 2 of the 3 males, I thought the third was a late bloomer but it’s been a few days and he’s still just looking a bit unhappy.

Looks like I snipped the stems from the male MCs a bit early because only a couple pollen sacks opened up and dropped only a tiny tiny bit, I wiped it up with a q-tip but I don’t even think it’s enough to shake off the q-tip for a pollination

Day 20 and these girls are looking great!
Please stop stretching though ladies :grimacing:

Getting some grape candy/grape sour skittles smells off the back middle MC

DI boys, last pic is the one that hasn’t dropped any pollen yet

Bent over the 2 DI tops that were around 8 inches from the light, hanging around 11 now after turning their buds back up :grimacing:
I would bend the middle MC a bit but I’ve tried to squish the stem and test bending her a bit, and she’s got some super solid stems! Wish I could have kept a clone of her, but all the more excuse to run some MC again in the future!

Man they are really cruising towards that light brother! Everything looks amazing :sunglasses:

Thanks! Wild that they were just a foot high at flip, pushing 40 inches right now so that’s over 3x and the lights are fully maxed out

Oh wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update!
Day 46 today, everyone is looking super happy and continuing to fatten up

1 shot each of the 4 Midnight cowboy, and a comparison of the bud size of the shorter 2 phenos, the front left one has considerably smaller buds and less vigorous branching.

Divine intervention, only plant with some yellowing leaves like this. Shame I’ll have to take her at 10 weeks, she’d definitely like to go longer

Everything is looking very very good bro, frosty and healthy as they approach the final weeks. Looking forward to the finish & smoke reports!

Just 1 picture today, interesting turn of events with the 2 tallest MC plants. The back middle plant (left in this pic) has had the fattest biggest buds this whole time, but now seems to have reached its peak while the back right more green pheno is suddenly overtaking her in size and still throwing lots of fresh pistils!
Quite unexpected and interesting to watch

Day 53

Nearing the end here!
Couple pictures from Friday (day 54) and a couple from today (day 57)
I’ll probably pull a couple tester branches on the MCs that are finishing faster, but unfortunately can’t let anything go over 10 weeks this run.
Amazing how much the back right MC continues to bulk up, the foxtailing just started in the past week ish and it went from smaller than the back middle plant to considerably bulkier super quick!
I need a good scope if anyone has any recommendations. I ordered 2 off amazon and returned them because they were junk, but the iPhone camera + a loupe really isn’t ideal

I’ve been sparse on the updates lately but the plants are chugging along nicely!
2/4 of the MC would definitely be happy going longer, the front left and back right.
Back middle and front right MC are looking pretty primo right now with cloudy trichs, chopped the top colas of the back plant to let the lowers get a little more light for a day or 2 longer, but everything has to come down by Wednesday.
The back right MC is still continuing to foxtail out in all directions with tons of new pistils, and it’s just started to turn purple the past week. It’s a shame I won’t be able to let that one run another couple weeks but I’ve got a trip coming up so I’ve got to get them all dried before leaving.
The Divine intervention is putting off some nice limey smells and looking closer to being done than I’d expect, showing some amber on the top cola I looked at. Happy I have another pack and a half of it, plus some F2s I made!

2 MC phenos, chopped the top colas of the left one today, leaving the right another 2 days.

@methodanon im surprised you took all your MCs as early as you did! The 2 that have been purple from the start were the faster finishers but the lowers are still mostly clear. The one green pheno is starting to cloud, and the other is still growing like crazy! Day 65 today

Yeah man, I may have been too early on the majority, that mc3 was super fast.

Your plant that’s throwing those foxtails is crazy cool looking! All of your plants look great man.

Between Monday and today everything has been chopped!
I’m always amazed how long it takes me to take just a few fairly small plants down
I took the top 9-12 inch colas from the back middle MC Monday because the lowers are so damn dense and plentiful, i figured I’d let them get just a bit more light for a couple days.

All 4 MC had slightly floppy auxiliary branches, any that weren’t caught by the trellis needed to be supported with wire

The smallest yielding short green pheno of MC (front left of the tent) had such floppy branches it could hardly hold itself up at all, and the stems had some wild flexibility. Definitely not a keeper based off yield but I’m hoping the smoke is exceptional! It’s the only one without a purple candy smell, can’t quite oinpoint what it is right now but much more “fresh”, not quite piney but something along those lines.
Trichomes were still mostly clear, just starting to turn cloudy

The one that was foxtailing would have been great to let longer, however I did find 1 nanner coming out and 1 rogue green seed at the end of one of the foxtails so that’s curious.
The lowers on it weren’t as vigorous of branching or big of buds as the back mid MC
Comparison shot of the lowers of both in the photos
Nice mix of clear/cloudy trichomes

Back middle MC is an absolute beast of a plant, only one I wasn’t able to squeeze on 1 hanger! Quickest finisher, mostly cloudy trichomes, fantastic purple/grape candy smell, big dense buds, stellar plant!
A rogue lower but I didn’t pluck has grown to about half the size of a golf ball in just the past 2-3 weeks, I chopped above that and might try to let it reveg…

Front right looks like back middle just smaller, about the same cloudy trichomes but the lowers were less done being so much shorted and overshadowed by the big girls in the back row

And finally Divine intervention, boy am I excited about this one! I’m getting some lime popsicle citrus smells, pretty good yielder that could have also gone a bit longer but the trichomes are looking nice with some cloudy. Definitely needed support, the colas that weren’t bent were leaning all around

I tried my best to take some pictures as I was going to get better shots of individual plants but it’s kind of half ass. Thanks for looking!
:grin::v:

Just the lowers without the main colas of the back middle plant is significantly bigger than both of the front row plants in their entirety!

Front left

Foxtail MC

DI, at 3x+ stretch no surprise she was such a leaner, even with high calcium and silica applications!

Trichomes from a lower on the back middle MC, and the random little nug that’s grown like crazy just in the past couple weeks!
