GDP Grow - Leaf Tip Discoloration

Hey Everyone - hoping based on a couple pics someone could guide to what might be causing this discoloration of my leaves. Only a few have it, otherwise very healthy plant.

Avg temp is 69F, Humidity is 45-54, DWC Hydroponic.

3 gallon reservoir that I mix General Hydroponic’s nutes in. 6ml Micro, 3ml Grow and 8 to 9 ml of Bloom (Flowering)

PH usually falls between 5.9 and 6.5

Great White Mycorrhizal for roots. Last added about a month ago

The discoloration only started appearing within the past 7 days or so, and as you can see most of the plant is without it.

Assuming nothing to really worry about, but don’t want to end up ruining a harvest if I indeed need to address something now.

Thanks for any feedback!

Are you under LED?

Nevermind.

As it was said, pH could be a bit high at least for Phosphorus:

Calcium zinc and potassium are main culprits that can cause these changes all to do with ph it’s strange I’m lazy on it in my dwc and havnt ran into any problems try starting your mix at 5.8ph let drift to 6.2ph before adjusting again I normally just change out bucket weekly myself what ppm is your feed going in and what way has your ph been drifting when left

I had the same problem on an outdoor plant a couple years ago, imalmost positive it was a ph imbalance, but i was never able to correct it. I hope you find a solution, she looks like she could be killer! :metal:

69° is a low avg. especially under LEDs. Not sure if that can cause the discoloration though.

Good luck

Possibly help with locking out the calcium I find the led makes plants hungrier for it

Havent checked ppm at all :upside_down_face: i need a better tool.

The PH wont drift higher than 6.5 or lower than 5.8ish

Thanks! Yes im super excited based on how shes done so far. Ill invest in a better tool for PH to be exact and hope to remedy the browning

Maybe? Ive also heard the lower-ish temps during flowering can bring out the purples - which is kind of the hope here

TBH i have no idea how i would do that

Aslong as drifts up if nutes get warm can evap and cause to go down just another thing to rule out I would think if you keep between 5.8-6.2 you be ok I just say that about ppm because to me look a little underfed but hard to say in a pic

Low temps will cause bud sites to go purple but not ideal untill nearing the end unless it is genetic

Under Leds plants like 77° and up iirc. Color change from cold weather is a different beast.

I’d get ambient temps above 82F + led’s don’t give off the same IR heat as HPS - MH so temps need to be higher.

leaf surface temps are probably too low if your grows ambient temps are around 69F which can cause your plants metabolism to slow and be inefficient.

I’ve experienced this in the past with certain plants more than others… plant specific because certain genes handle certain conditions better than others better than others. I don’t think its your PH at all IMO as long as you’re staying within said range.

Just my thoughts. Good luck!
