Going out of town / late into flower

I’m about to go out of town for a couple of weeks.
I was anticipating my five plants to be done by now, but I’ve still got clear Trichs. They’re fading and nearing senescence.
I’m looking for feedback on harvesting. I can throw some Blumats on them and have them watered while I’m gone - way-laying their chop but also risking them just being neglected, or harvest sooner - risking them being pulled too early.

I’m leaving in a week for two weeks! No cloudy trichs yet.

Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you

Probably best to wait until the night before you leave to make your final decision. A lot happens in the final week or 2 of flowering, so they may be perfectly ready right before you depart.

My concern with leaving plants unattended for so long that late into 12/12 would be something catastrophic happening and not being there to mitigate it. Bud rot comes to mind. You can limit your loss if you catch it very early. But if left unchecked, it’ll wipe out all your plants in a matter of days.

Agreed.

Do you have any better closeup pictures?

I once had to leave for a long time and had to chop them but they were done enough.

I’d rather leave them hanging for 2 weeks than leave a tent unattended for two weeks.

Also, I live in a semi-arid region where RH averages at about 20%, and this time of year is about 10 - 15%. So letting them hang for an extended period of time has its probs

Here’s a closeup

Looks done to me, some plants don’t really go cloudy and or heavy amber, some just have a slight hue change.

Hmm.

They look ready.

You could chop them right now, hang for a week, then jar.

But that leaves you zero wiggle room.

Dang I was going to suggest chopping right before you leave, just taking the fan leaves off and hanging for the 2 weeks as that’s usually a good amount of time but being that dry wouldn’t end well.

Yeah chop before. If Rh is at 10% you would come back to crispy dead flowers that dried all wrong. Hang in a closet with a humidifier set to 50% and temp at 60F for 2 weeks would be about right depending on the plant

Chop her now. A heady buzz is better than no buzz at all. She looks ready to me anyway. :+1:
