Gorilla Glue 4 Recombinant Inbred Line

Love all of your work @Tonygreen

@Tonygreen are there any new seeds on the market that youā€™d like to cross to the RIL but havenā€™t had the time/space/attention? Curious if youā€™ve had your eyes on anything that you think would go nicely with a RIL male, or might go well on a RIL female?

Iā€™ve went through quite the variety of seeds from different breeders and ive yet to flower any of your stuff out yet but the Bubbleheads and Sowah Pine Tar Gush has been in my veg room for a while now and I have to say @Tonygreen 's beans pop with more vigor than anything Iā€™ve grown yet. Very impressed!

Iā€™d like a legit platinum, Chem D, Chem 91, as far as seed if I see anything inbred I salivate because itā€™s so rare. The couple true f1s Iā€™ve made with inbred lines are spectacular! Chased ogkb for years and finally found a pair of recoveries in the Michigan Meat.

Nowadays getting seed is like me getting sent to buy scented candles. Not much makes sense to me lol.

Feel free to put me on that work if you guys find it!

G-Unit just harvested great smoke, two of the six were polyploid if i reverse those will the pollen be sterile?

Tony what do you want from OGKB? Iā€™ve found 2 out of 10 in a pack of Truffle Breath from Fresh Coast and 1 out of 4 in a pack of Gorilla Breath from HSO . I donā€™t like them and have vowed to cull them from now on but if I can offer them to help you in anyway lemme know

Feels like this game should be harder. Or have harder goals.

Just wanted to know how close the ril seeds are to the clone in terms of smell. Thank you for all info.

On my second cycle of @Tonygreen Bubblehead. This time from clone. I took her at 84 days last time and she definitely needs support. One of my favorites in the stable and she will be kept around!!

Easy to find a spot on in high frequency, some will accent a specific note like some pine or lime, random few bubblegum smells a few have said. Some more chemmy some more hashy like sour bubble.

Youā€™ll know trimming when you get that funk!!

Thank you for your info. I love the gg 4 smell, so I was just curious how similar they are.

Iā€™ve got a RIL female in flower right now (week 6.5) that smells exactly like gorilla glue. Iā€™ve never grown the clone before, and didnā€™t expect it; for the first few weeks I was getting coffee and chocolate, but now those smells have subsided and it really does smell like glue. Even having smoked GG4 from dispensaries before, I wasnā€™t expecting anything like this. I recently pollinated her and sheā€™s so sticky that pollen ended up caked onto the paintbrush. A+ all around so far - I havenā€™t smoked it yet, obviously, but have no reason to think it wonā€™t be the best Iā€™ve ever grown. Granted, Iā€™m a pretty new grower, so thatā€™s not necessarily saying muchā€¦ but at any rate, Iā€™m impressed, FWIW.

Havenā€™t messed with them much. Had one that went alternating node from sprout, another grew one branch with three branches per node on only 1 branch after topping.
First RIL had a shitload of twins, someone suggested I picked a polyploid for that mom.

If theyā€™re sterile to regular plants they would supposedly be fertile together.

One of us is confusedā€¦ either you know something about it I donā€™t, which is very possible, or you guys are conflating two unrelated genetic conditions. Triploid = three sets of chromosomes. Whorled phyllotaxy = three sets of leaves/branches. Triploids and other polyploids are infertile, but not all plants with whorled phyllotaxy are polyploids. Iā€™d bet most arenā€™t. It takes genetic testing to be certain on the ploidy, apparently itā€™s called flow cytometry - Dark Heart just ran tests on Capulatorā€™s MAC1, for example, and now itā€™s all over Reddit.

Does this have anything to do with the deal you made to get cat in your catwoman suit?

Either way I want to hear more! :medal_sports:
