I’m shooting for one bud per a square we will see. I trimmed up few days ago about to come in an do it again. May flip tomorrow but it be alot cooler to wait till 420. Lemon widow seems to be a squat plant but excellent branching curious to see how she stretches, lemon g been a great plant with great vigor, FAF is on roids or something she just goes and goes. Seems healthy but has red/purple stems I can’t seem to get rid of. The others are green so maybe it’s genetics your stems red on FAF? Frankenstein hanging in there smallest of the bunch from what I’ve read that will most likely change at stretch. 9 plants is a bit much but I think it will turn out alright.
There growing i think I may hang a couple water jugs off the trellis to keep the plants from lifting it the seem to be raising it up. I’m using all the methods on this run super cropping, lst, topping doing them all. It hard work keeping a plant healthy in a octopot haha how the weather is imagine it starting to heat up. Weather here be great mid 70s are you running your greenhouse again? Or did it blow away ?
It was destroyed in the last storm
No more outside in Texas , just too hot n humid without a real glass house and ventilation, everything rots here
I don’t know how you can take that heat bro
Too hot for me
was 92 yesterday already
I had a buddy move up from Texas when I was in HS @Papalag. I remember at football practice he about fainted cause he just wasn’t use to the 90° 80% humidity. This was in Tennessee but he would talk about 110 degree days back in Texas. Dude was a go getter not the biggest guy but would run you over. I think it was Venus or Jupiter Texas some small town
When I was younger i didn’t mind it as much as I do now
So I go fishing in the evening when it’s that hot
My kids have been wanting to try fishing. Think I’m going to get back into this summer once we start camping again
I think you have the most healthy octopot plants on this forum, difficult to find… Do you know why all octopot plants have the purplered petiole?
Simply beautiful.
All of them don’t some strains more than others but I’m sure it comes down to feed and individual genetics. I have 4 different strains going all are being feed the same ec same everything if I feed individually at higher prices lower EC depending on strain I’m sure it would correct. I just try to find a middle ground between them all and run that. The octopots tho is a great system very easy to use and probably one of the cheapest overall uses less ferts less water nothing is wasted. Jetdro and papalag are who got me going in the right direction. I appreciate the compliment but I owe it to these two and a a few other. To say the octopot doesn’t create healthy plants is a far out comment imo. I’m always up to learn something new and will take any advice you have.
I’ll flip to flower tomorrow I’m sure I’ll be weaving and tucking branches for the next 3 weeks twice a day lol I appreciate it
I never used ocotpot and it is simply not my cup of tea. If you are interested in hydro try rfx1/mapito ebb and flow. If you search for eskobars thread you can see how it works in a small operations. In my opinion it is the best system to grow hydro.
Yeah I believe @ifish runs that system. I think if I was going to ever switch it would be to living soil earth box type setup. Right now I don’t have the time or space although I may try a living soil outdoor grow this summer.
The red can be removed by using a good amount of epsom salt . i’ve run the same plant both ways red and no red and it doesn’t seem to make any difference at least not in the yield the smoke the flavor the taste nothing seems to make a difference.
It was a toss up between Octopots and mapito
Escobar has an amazing set up for sure
I am going to try mapito in my Octopots this year
It just may work I’ll do same plant side by side mapito and my pro mix see haw they compare
Yeah I’m sure I could but there all overall happy so I’m not to worried. I’m not going to make a higher ec feed for just the one plant takes enough time doing them all the same.
I thought mapito was a brand of a system. Just looked into I think it would do just fine in a octopot
If it works it will blow all other mediums out the window
1 inch rook wool cubes will work
Therorectically if you where to put your lips on wet soil it would be difficult to suck water out
In coco would be abit easier but still a struggle
In mapito / rock wool it gives minimum to no resistance
Plus’s the area you sucked will replenish quickly / easily , useing rock wool ie as plant uptakes
: )
Yeah I’ve seen what they was calling Rockwool crotons I thought would be a pretty nice medium to try and grow in
