Buenas Dias!
If you make it up more north, to the region of Alicante - hit me up!
Saludos!
Sevilla is a fantastic city with lovely people. My friend runs a cannabis sociodad called Santa Haze, on Calle Acietuna just inside of the northern wall. Its worth a visit if you get stuck for a smoke.
I spent time in Santa Pola, Elche, and Alicante years ago. Beautiful place. Wonderful culture. Amazing food, mariscos, gambas, paella, costra, chuletas, jamón…
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us @GrouchyOldMan ! Have a blast!

Yesterday we climbed Montserrat after a night in the 16th century city on Monistrol.
We began with a freshly baked croissant and café con leche as the farmers market opened up in the plaza.
Then the climb! There is a famous monastery tucked into the incredible rock formations and the view from the top is 360 degree magnifico: the snowbound French Pyrenees to the warm waters of Barcelona beaches!
Love the pictures! Excellent photography of beautiful places!

It was disturbing at first to see the ancient walls, doors and even the cobble stone streets of Spain’s famous cities covered with grafitos! I seemed like a travesty imposing the vaporous memes of the day upon surfaces that the romans, moors and Spanish Inquisition had all inhabited in their time.
But as we became more acclimated, we realized that underlying these outcries of modern life, were inscriptions from the deep past etched in stone long before spray paint was envisioned.
I began to capture images of the best and most artistic as a sampling of our current youthful angst and ennui.
And, of course in Pamplona it’s all about the Bulls (and Hemingway!)
Northern Spain & the Basque Country
Leaving Barcelona we took the train west through the arid hills of Aragon and into Navarre region of fertile green acres of wheat and the vineyards of Rioja wine country. After sampling the fruits of the vine in Lagrono and Haro, we turned north to explore Pamplona, made famous for its annual running of the bulls and in the novels of Ernest Hemingway.
Our final route through the Basque country was to satisfy my long held desire to witness one of the world’s finest surfing breaks in Mundaka on the rugged and magnificent coast of the Bay of Biscay. Almost as an afterthought we spent the day in Bilbao and were staggered by the sublime weirdness of the Guggenheim art museum and riverside beauty of San Sebastian.
I’ll end this lengthy travelogue with some pics of a tiny town of Ancin where our extended family has a summer home. After a little recuperation here we’ll fly the friendly skies back home to New England.

PS, Kudos to @TARpits on a very successful second grow!!!
Awesome pics @GrouchyOldMan! There are certainly some really talented graffiti artists out there. But I also think it belongs on certain places, and those aren’t ON national treasures.
Looks like you’re doing it right, plenty of great shots.
A kind mention on the second grow Grouchy…Lovely photos of what I hope was a slow and easy trip through the beautiful country side. Safe travels home hermano. All the best to SS and familia.
