Grow Tents from Amazon (Growneer vs. Vivosun)

I have bought three grow tents now, one 4’ x 8’ from Growneer, and a 4’ x 4’ and a 3’ x 2’ from Vivosun. The Growneer is far superior in design and quality - better zippers, protects against light leaks, viewing windows that you can actually see through, and larger steel poles and corners. Just my experience…

Agreed, I have the 4x4 Growneer and a 5x5 iPower. The Growneer is 100% better built, I was super impressed for 99 bucks on sale.

Big thanks for the heads up.
I’m currently in the market for either an 8x4 or an 8x6, but it doesn’t look like 8x6 is common or available.
How many plants do you usually run in your 8x4?

I am currently only running 4 in half the tent, so I could run 8 total. I also train them to go wide

Also, make sure you have enough tent height (around 6 - 7 feet) so your lights won’t burn the canopy when the plants are Flowering.

I’ve been crowding my girls so far and I’d like to give them room for a change.
I’m thinking 2sq ft per plant minimum at 5 to 6 ft tall and shooting for mini tree’s.

Hey Dog! I have become partial to Apollo Tents. For the price the quality is outstanding. I have 4 tents, two Apollo’s (4X4 and 3X3). The Apollo’s are still like new, the other 2 are thinner material with light leaks. I veg and grow Autos in them for that reason. Adding another 4X4 next week. It will be Apollo. My $.02

I just got myself a Vivosun 4x8 based on the amazon reviews which have rarely let me down. I had my eye on the Growneer one too but ended up not getting it because the price was slightly higher and the reviews weren’t as good. Ended up lucking out and getting it on sale on black Friday for $224 CAD total.

Put it together the other day and am pretty happy with its construction. A few small light leaks but I expected minor leaks for this price point.

I own a Secret Jardin Lodge L160 which is supposed to be a higher end brand of tent, I am happier with this Vivosun. Regardless of price. It has better socks for the venting, better zippers and was easier to put together. Plus I don’t feel ripped off paying over twice the price for half the space to still get light leaks and stuck zippers.

I would recommend the Vivosun over the Secret Jardin brand which IMO is not worth the extra money. I’ll have to give the Growneer another look.

I have 3 vivo sun tents and u gotta keep the zippers waxed or they bind, also I can see light leaks through the zippers. They sit in a dark room so I’m not worried about light but it would be nice to be able to work in the room during lights out and not worry about light contamination
