Looking to purchase a grow tent, but getting mixed reviews, thought I would ask for any thoughts on what brands are best quality? would like to purchase one about 10’x108"×70" anything bigger won’t work. Planning on popping off some sweet Cindy. tribute to bog, may he rest in peace.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Anything with metal corners, stay away from plastic corners.
I have some sweet Cindy going now. I ho hummed over building a grow room or tents. I ended up doing tents. 2 4x4 and one 4x8 by vivosun. I think total was $500. Easy to set up. I would do a couple smaller tents so you can veg and flower at the same time. Nice fan a filter and it really holds smell in well.
I also have vivo sun 4x8 and 5x5. Sturdy metal construction. Simple setup. Great value.
Gorilla Grow tents are top of the line but my budget Vivosun has been perfect for me.
Yes, those are the two I’ve narrowed it down to. I have the room for 1flowering ,and a smaller one for the mothers and babies, boy it’s good to be back.
Thanks boys
Tents really confine your space and tend to come apart at the seems letting light in after a few runs… Your beat bet is to pick up a roll or 2 of panda film and turn an entire room into a grow area. Can even separate areas for veg and flower with it
I got a vivosun 4x4, coolgrows 2.5x2.5 and agromax 2x4
Of the 3 the agromax has the best build quality, zipper, canvas, lightproofing are all good with this brand.
My vivosun 4x4 leaks light at the seams and through the zipper, its NBD 4 me because tent is in a dark room anyway.
I have a Gorilla, Vivo Sun, Secret Jardine and a off brand. It depends on what you prefer to grow and your budget.
Growing smalling plants the Vivo Sun is fine. Want to grow bigger, you will need the Gorilla.
Green Cube tents are excellent.
Though, I do not know of a US distributor if you are stateside.
I bought one due to height limitations I have here, did a bank transfer. Shipping to US was reasonable and, if I can remember, total was still quite a bit cheaper than the Gorilla tents.
The best is probably Gorilla Brand, but it’s probably overkill. IDK if it ever needs to hold 300lbs or go up to 9ft tall or have that thickness of material.
Unless your budget is unlimited, just get the cheaper ones, it’ll do the job. I use the AgroMax from HTG supply. Using 3 currently. Happy with them so far. Slightly better than Secret Jardin in material and zippers.
My biggest concern is the zippers, also the room has furniture i.e. the tent, (humidity) issues. and I will be going big. Leaning towards gorilla brand.
Thanks
Building a stand alone room from panda film and 2x4s is usually better.
Vivo sun is okay but be prepared to leave it in a dark space for flowering or seal it up yourself. Zippers leak light.
I actually really liked the secret Jardin line of tents other than the plastic corners. I run sun system dominators and one of the corner braces cracked causing the reflector to fall on the plants
Gorilla is nice but not everything they’re made out to be. They still have light leaks and quality problems you’ll have to deal with. Gorilla is actually a decent company though and tend to make things right if you have issues. Still made in China probably in the same factory as most of the tents on the market.
Good to know
I’m very happy with my Apollo grow tent. The only other company that I’d possibly replace it with is acinfinity’s new line. https://www.apollohorticulture.com/product-category/grow_tents/

This is true. Same situation for me, nbd cause dark room. If you dont have this same situation and light leaks could be an issue for you, Gorilla tents are the way to go.
I have a Vivosun 2x4x5 and two Gorilla 4x4x7 tents. Vivosun seems to be pretty good but you can not compare the quality to a Gorilla. I have not seen a lot of brands but I rely on strength in a tent as I am disabled and often rely on taking a fair bit of my weight through the tent by hanging from the top rails etc. They are strong. Not just the frame but all the materials are stronger. So if money is not a real concern then go the Gorilla for sure. If money is a concern then you could probably get away with cheaper and still find a good quality tent.
gorillia yup yup yup
I enjoyed the plastic corners on my Jardin. Was sturdier than the vivosun metal ones
my la tent has plastic corners its a way better tent then my vivosuns
hey guy’s ,ended up buying the vivosun 96"x 48" x 80" going to get me a smaller tent for clones and mothers, that will be a gorilla tent. really appreciate the input.
