Growin' and Chuckin'

That’s how I do it. I put the rich stuff in the bottom. You passed the trichome test with those buds above. Very nice.

The humidity thing is the same or worse down here in Trinidad. Except for this year and we’ve gotten a good bit of rain. It’s started back up again here. Supposed to rain all week, off and on, here. My plants are starting to fall over when it rains. I’m trying to get them started but I’m recovering from a bad broken leg, too.

I have to go out and get more today as they’re calling for torrential rain this afternoon. I’m not sure where I’m gonna put it all. Everything is maturing at the same time except for a few sativa. I cut two yesterday and let them hanging on the clothes line. So, gotta get them first, to come in and get dry. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! peace

Colorado has some harsh cannabis growing conditions. We really need find some great early Afghans. Everything I have takes 9 - 10 weeks indoor.

This right here, has it all. The dank rich flavor, the funky ass smell, green and some purple/magenta colors. Limited release by Altitude Ranch. Fatso bx x Wedding Cake. Top pic is one phenotype, bottom two are another. Both are raunchy funk.

I also live in Colorado and I have been getting a little better but it’s just tough for me to get seedlings started and I just started using a humidity dome and it’s helping me out as well looking great all around and I’m going be following along with the rest of your growing and pollen dusting and just got some seeds made for the first time and it’s very rewarding Happy Growing The Doc

Welcome, Doc. You jumped on the bus just in time for a Sour D run.

Plants are adjusting well and starting to take off. Most are topped at the 4th internode. I’ll use the bottom 2 side branches for clones, and Watch the rest blow up, within a few weeks. I’ve added silica to one of the three waterings since transplanting. Tomorrow I’ll feed them 6ml/gal Bio Grow and 3ml:gal Optimize. 1 gal feeds 4 plants. I won’t feed the 5gal pots. Still plenty of nutrients available in the soil. I’m remembering this time…it’s the one I’m not watching that turns out to be the keeper.

Took 2 clones from each available plant. Missing cuts from only 3 plants. They look a little off, like they need cal/mag. Or maybe some ph’d water for another week. They look skimpy because I removed most of the fans, and bottom 2 side branches for clones. They could be in a little shock. The 2 plants in 5gal pots, not shown, are under the t-5 with the clones. I always take two clones for better survival % of each phenotype. When hunting limited Sour D plants, I need guarantees!!:joy: Hoping in a week, things will be blowing up again and ready to switch.

:fire:DAY 1 FLOWER:fire:
I decided to flip the light to 12/12 today. Sooo many plants. Last round I had more than 50% female. Just playing safe. I’d like to move this along and find a Sour D keeper to fill the tent next round. I’m on a tight schedule so saving a few weeks makes the most sense. Here they are stuffed into a 5’x5.

At this point, yes. But not once buds start forming. I exhaust to the outside, making it easy.

OMG. I’m getting closer to making my dream come true!

I love soon after flipping to 12/12 and dosing with bloom nutrients for the first time. Things really start to take off. One garden shot and one of the clones. Hope to find out soon what shows male, so I can trash those clones.

Checked a handful of clones. We have roots on about half. Simple cloning tech. Self explanatory from the pictures.I still have the lids on but vents are wide open. Fill 3x3 with Roots Original. Wet. Add a rapid rooter with the hole jabbed all the way down, to make clone insertion easier. Again, the small cut is protected from frying by the rapid rooter. I’ll squirt the rooters every other day to encourage root development.

This is a pic of almost every seed coming from the Sour Altoids x Fat Cakes.

Been cleaning males out of the garden. 4 Sour Altoids and 3 sour D. I kept 2 Sour D for pollination and storage for future projects. Sour D will be moved to the closet when they’re closer to dropping pollen. No need to run two lights unless I have a space issue. Not only did I toss a bunch of male plants, I also tossed their clones. Running low and only only 1 female showing.

Started with 16 plants, down to 4 sour D males, 1 Sour D female, 2 unknown Sour D, and 2 unknown Sour Altoids. Covered all the tops of soil sand and and will bottom water from now on.

Males are starting to throw down, so I moved them to the closet. Their dna will be harvested and then they will die! Still waiting for four plants to show sex. Clones look great.

Final numbers are in. 2 females, 1 Wing Wang Sour D clone x Sour D bx3, and 1 Sour Altoids. Started with 16. Males flowering are 2 Sour D. Making f2’s for an IBL project and crossing to Sour Altoids, which I will back cross to the Sour D clone a few times.
