Yea! Looks great. Nice size.
Wedding Cake looks tasty.
I like older plants, when growing OGs. Veg for 10 weeks, super crop the hell out the plants, and lollipop. I love smoking OG, but… Internode spacing reaching 9 inches and only a few budding sites on all three plants of Fatso’s Wedding. Sour Altoids are bushy and very symmetrical. A six week veg would be insane. Christmas trees! I’d rather have 4 of those fill the tent.
They look great. I have some older pictures I would have to dig up. It smells if you make a tea with it. Lol
Nice and frosty!
Thanks. This rune has come down to the wire!
Looking good brother. Within the next run or two I should be getting back into the beans you sent. Last time they got seeded and something happened. I had two bad years in a row outside. I have another kush or two outside this year and all is great. Getting old brings it’s surprises. And, Mother Nature, as well, lol. Sometimes good ones, too.
Happy growing! I may finally break down and make thread soon. Hopefully it’ll bring me out of my funk.
Oh, hey, you mentioned the hazes, I’m convinced that they are much better after a six month cure. I read that somewhere a while back and have had 3-4 or so lately that I was able to keep in curing that long, and it really changes for the better. peace
I’m tapping into the Valley Vixens next round along side a heavy Sour Diesel bx4, worked from Top Dawg’s Sour Diesel bx3. The babies will be insane. Also next round, I’m popping an SFV OG bx3 x Giesel and will hit those with some Vixen pollen, as well. Got some incredible beans coming down the pipeline, thanks to @WeTokeChronic and a few other breeders I know.
Hope you’re doing well.
Getting close! Looks like seeds are ready. Chopping the two early birds this Sunday! Also threw in my elderberry plants.
Getting close. No burning, no lockout, no bullshit. Straight fire.
New beans started. 8 Sour Altoids, super sour pheno #2 and Rado’s Sour d bx3 x Ying Yang Sour D(renamed original Sour D clone)
It’s all looking like the chroniiiiccc!!!
You only grow the
Why grow anything but ? Thanks to you and your work, btw. Lavender Frosting is the backbone of my new cultivars, along with some wicked Sour Diesel bx’s.
I’ve decided to document this grow to a T, so all you novice growers can step up your indoor game and not over think shit.
Germinating seeds-
Fill 4x4s with Roots Original soil and soak.
Create holes for rapid rooters
Place plugs in holes a little bit lower the soil level.
Use a tool to widen holes. This creates a better zone for roots to develop.
Water plugs until soaked. Plugs create a protective barrier for roots to develop without burning from the soil. Root Original is hot!!
Place popped seeds in holes, minimum root length 1/4”, maximum root length 1/2”.
Cover with lids, vents closed, under a T-5, until green leaflets open. T-5’s have the perfect light waves, light intensity, and heat for germination and cloning.
I did forget to mention I live in Colorado, with an average humidity of 20-30%. Once all beans have opened, open air vents until all humidity inside the dome has evaporated, usually a few days. If domes are removed too fast, there’s a chance some seedlings could dry up or go into shock. No burning will occur as long as you have a plug of some sort. I use Rapid Rooters.
8 days have passed. Just water at 6.0 ph. Roots soil has enough nutrients to keep these seedlings going strong for about 14 days. Next watering at day 10, I will introduce nutrients at 1/4 strength. Bud shot is Wedding Cake x Fatso bx1.
Fed day 10 with Indian River Organics fish and kelp mix, 3.5ml/gal, ph’d to 6 after adding fertilizer. Day 12, moved plants into tent, 680 ROI led on lowest setting, light is at the top of the tent. 3 Sour Diesel, front left, are a week behind and haven’t been fed.
2 days later, I decided to transplant into mostly 2gal cloth pots, and a couple 5gal cloth pots. I ran out of 2gal. Each pot contains a 3 inch bottom layer of equal amounts coco, earthworm castings, and a 3 year living supersoil. The rest is Roots Original. Watered at 7 ph with microbes. Things are moving along rather quickly.
Growing:
Chaco’s Sour D x Sour D bx3.
Albany Sour D x Frosted Altoids
Looking for a keeper Sour D for all my future projects, making Sour D f2’s, and crossing these two cultivars. The Sour Altoids is curing up and has a SourD/OG smell with a little grape. And although a little leafy, the yield is there with a pile of sick sugar leaf for hash. This next round of sour infusion should make it exactly what I’m looking for, as far as smoke flavor.
