Kaligrownbuds seed sprouted teas
My omax microscope works really well for seeing them itās an 2000x max but IRRC I can see most everything at the 900x range most bacteria.
Have you made FJF fermented fruit juice from organic fruit juice you can buy at the store ? And what about flowers fermented juice for bloom? Have plenty of nasturtiums coming up and other flowers.
Have a bucket of nettles compost tea going I had some really good fresh ones around. Chopped, added some brown sugar and some serum from a yogurt. It stank the first couple of days and now itās not so bad, reminds me of beerā¦
Iāve made FFJ out of bananas, squash, and papaya for flowering. Iāve also made a FFJ out of prickly pear (cactus) fruit. Iāve also fernented cannabis, fish, and yucca. I have some pumpkin that is 2+ years still in the fermenter. LOL I wonder what that is like. Bet itās still good.
Any ratios of the ingredients? Thanks.
Typically do a 1:1 ingredients to molasses/brown sugar and add a bit of LABS as an innoculant.
Thatās a really good idea curious cat. My wife loves Portobelloās. Iāll have to look into that. My LAB is two days old now ( rice wash). I canāt wait to start using these homemade products!
My uncle must have also added sugar and I missed that. It seems like a necessary ingredient.
Nice, just keep in mind that all this stuff is to help supplement your soil microbes. Donāt think of it as making your own bottled nutes but as boosters for your soil life. Ultimately your soil needs to be the thing you concentrate on.
Thank you. Will go play a bit with this. Did you notice any difference between this method and commercial products?
Any good permaculture pdf book you know of?
Have some space I can plant fruits and veggies but Iām no quite sure where. There are eucalyptus in one areaā¦ cedars another and pine and then there is a big patch thatās quite free from other trees but fully exposed to sunlightā¦ main concern is heat in the summer and mold if it isnāt sunny enough. Itās near the sea.
Fun to watch and see what everyone is doing around hereā¦ I donāt think the Nettles are up quite in the area where I live but I know they are going into a FPE for my outdoor veggies and stuff this year.
Im doing a little experiential and have taken all the culled males and other plants that had to go and cut them into smallish pieces and and currently have them in a 5 gallon bucket in my basement covered, weighted under water, hopefully forming a nice weed plant fermented plant extract.
Anyone ever use their extra leaves / males / whatever and make FPE for their other garden / house plants / anything?
Also read something that made sense. Making fermented juices from the leftovers from previous grow of the plant you want to grow and the actual part as to isolate certain nutrients and hormones. Saving time and energy because itās stuff that the plant can already assimilate with a little less effort
Some cool photos of my experiments
Nettles after the composting
Rice water to attract the bacillus
Labs in the making
I mulch all my leaves and trimmings from harvested plants. Get all those nutrients back into the soil. Wonder if making fpj from buds would have more of an impact than just the usual fruit etc.
Makes sense. ā¦ Using the bits from the actual plants would make more sense IMO
How about using hemp seeds and make a fermented seed juice? Has all the nutrition.
That could work or you could sprout them and make a tea. I have some buds from an outdoor run that got damp in the freezer so Iām going to try make fpj from them.
Thats exactly what I remember . You could hear the fizzing . our Nettles arenāt up yet. half a foot of snow a couple days ago
My nettles have given me a nice smelly brew. Fizz has long gone. Have been trying it out on some of the aromatic plants in the house garde Letās see if get any visible effects soon
