@Grease_Monkey not much just a couple small bottom flower clusters, i cant really give you a weight or anything cause, wasn’t dried, and didn’t measure its wet weight or anything, but estimate, maybe 1-2g’s worth…

@riverlady yeah its for the water solubility and why i was surprised.

also will include my update

Right ride, some DarkSpark seedlings, will be day 0 for them tomorrow is what ill call it as, noticing a few partial tri cotyledon seedlings so far, also damaged two but they probably weren’t gonna make it, but have those to the side as first ones to go. Flowering plants, will be this week sometime, they are 10 days behind the ones i just harvested but there looking to be done before that.

Oh and the side branch on the one plant i sprayed with weak CS and gave up on, well its gonna have a few pollen sacs, so ill be harvesting the top and leaving the sacs to ripen as im expecting im gonna be chopping before they are ready. Will just save any of the pollen for the next round.

some bud shots, and here’s one just for you @Johnnybsmokin

This is that purple pistil plant, has nice resin coverage and look, maybe another one will pop up in the next round.

Here’s the bud on the plant i liked early on as a counter. little less resin in appearance as it may look, but builds and bulks a lot better, and with the way the calyx’s stack within each other i think gives a false assumption on its resin content just cause of the layering… but also proven just my observation of these types.

The Left side shuffled a couple plants around, left side ill be keeping the right i won’t but i’ll break it down.

info and notes if one cares to know

So left side back left is a DSf2, not liking the bud build so far but its a redpurple leaning pheno, and they tend to be nice, just a little more airy bud structure wise with foxtailing at the end, also just started spraying one side branch with CS on it, cause im getting pollen from it.

Back 2nd from the left is a GT2xSBR of Reiko’s, and the one ill be partially CS spraying, i like the leaves on it, cool build, but also the one plant that didn’t have the tri segmented 2 node shoots.

Front two on the left are more of the GT2xSBR’s but these have the tri segment shoots, but they also have the reaching side branches with short “currently” center shoot, its a very helpful trait, for getting level canopies and more yield, the one behind them has that trait too, but anyways keeping them for now.

Right side will all go but Back right is a DSf2 green pheno, just not what i was hunting but it will be the last to go out of the right side as its doing fine.

2nd from the right back doesnt have that side shoot stretch trait so would be more suited and will grow with a main bud, just doesn’t tick the boxes in comparison.

Far right front, is a gangly stretcher so yeah thats a no, and one beside it is a runt which has some two finger fan leaves off the 2nd node.

Thata an impressive amount of oil!

Really nice clear resin you made. Did you extract with 190 proof?

I also like the structure of the Back 2nd from left in the picture it looks to have a nice structure

i ment used 1-2grams worth of bud, but should get a couple grams of oil from that plant by the end.

@invisible i actually use methanol even if i say “alcohol” just cause well… its methanol which if you understand and purge it isn’t an issue especially if you compare it to say wine or beer, it just that it easy for us canadians to acquire and relatively inexpensive at like $12cnd per 4 liters, where as everclear you have to pay liquor taxes which puts you in the $40-45cnd range for 750ml, Was handy when i use to make my own hard liquor cause only would cost me about $1.25cnd a liter.

Ah understand. Cost of alcohol where I am is crazy high too.

Need to find someone with a still to make it for me. all our stuff like that is denatured so you can’t consume it so you are really stuck paying high prices.

I really don’t feel like getting into a new hobby nor do I have the space at the moment to even try

I’ve made the green dragon before, a couple of years ago, but not the quick wash as yet. The cost of high proof alcohol is not an issue for me as I distill my own, have done for many years. I regularly get 180proof or better so I’ll have to have a go at it. @Mr.Sparkle that resin certainly looks nice and clear/golden, do enjoy it… :yum:

Your plants are looking great as well, looking forward to the finished colours of the purple pistil plant.

Cheers Johnny

Culled some plants, and move over the seedlings.

2 of the 3 GT2xSBR’s displayed the nodal hermi calyx not that they are flowering, i tossed one and kept the other, the last plants of them i ran you just pinched those off and they ran fine otherwise, but i’m apprehensive to use them for breeding for obvious reasons.

As for the right side, just the three flowering girls that will get choppen come the weekend, i’ll be keeping a branch of one of them going till i can get some pollen off it, but guess i can start some more seeds  .

Thats definately the way to go making your own. Are you using the turbo 500?

My old setup 2" bokakob was capable of 95.6% just had to run a taller column, but i typically would do a condensing run first to bring my base up to 40%, then do a reflux run. Look into a bokakob setup if your into the diy

Yep, made my own as well @invisible . 2 foot high column, 2 inches diameter made out of copper. It can be a very slow process, but the results are worth it. I’ll snap a pic shortly for you.

Cheers Johnny

Nice looking resin… What was your process for purging the methanol?

Stands at about 4 foot tall over all. The bottom part is a ‘electric crab cooker’, as anything over a 5 litre pot still is illegal in Australia.

I’d love to DIY but I don’t have the mental capcity to do these things anymore. I just looked up the bokakob looks pretty good well the one i saw on instructables did anyway.

Looks good mate you’re much handier than I am thats for sure

Well chopped and drying in my filter box, and did a quick methanol wash of the trim, gonna be a bit green but hey chopped ends and fresh off the plant that was expected.

My self appointed morning task now done.

Oh and how my one side of my cabinets is doing today. All the flowering plants i picked a budsite to spray with CS just cause pollen made used or not at least offers a partial way to having similar characteristics if i end up liking a plant or two, and will reduce the right side a little but waiting till certain ones grow out more to verify my observations on them.

Also have seeds planted on the other side, but no sense posting pictures of just pots and the leftover side branch i kept for pollen of the DS i just harvested this morning.

Nice work as usual brother :+1:

What’s the lineage of those DS btw? they look dam good.

Midday update as well im working from home and social distancing and all.

So left side is doing well, little ones are almost at a week come tomorrow and the flowering ones have been getting a single budsite sprayed with CS we will see if we get some earlier pollen this time, still will probably not use them all, oh and will get rid of that front row of the little ones being crinkles and a damaged seedling but im in no rush yet.

Right side they are just coming up will call day 0 tomorrow just for my own sake and tracking, All that are up are Green Phenos of the DarkSparks, just will be doing some hunting, also have two GSCxDD seeds that were put in a few day later on the far left yellow cups just cause i had spare cups, and a leftover lower bud site from the plants i chopped on the weekend just letting some pollen ripen for collection which will be most likely used on one of the seedlings when they are ready, unless i choose another pollen donor before then.
