Yeah that makes sense. I let my Coco coir get all the way dry or close to it before I fed them again this time and let the temps drop at night more. The plants seem to respond well to the slightly higher stresses with more trichs than last grow

Not all cultivars emit nanas due to stress. Just so you know.

Yes, I would consider how I did it this time as ‘light stressers’. ‘high stressers’ are things light light getting in at night, very hot temps, etc., and those will cause nanners eventually most of the time
So the Dank Zappa plants are some strange lookin ones. One has pistils/hairs, the other two just just built calyxs with microscopic pistils. Idk, see for yourself lol

They look awesome, I’d be tempted to see if that one with almost no pistils would take pollen to see if it’s potentially sterile, that’s the arms race that’s going on right now for commercial outdoor, you may have stumbled onto a golden ticket there

And someday you will not be able to buy seeds that will reproduce a new generation. Then the seed banks will have growers by the short hairs. “You want to grow? You’ll be buying from us every time you want to pop a seed”. Just watch and see if I’m wrong.

Perhaps, if they can do it, they will do.
But there are many seeds collectors that will maintain seeds unaltered.
For large/comercial grows they are doing it already here in europe. If you see the regulations they made, comercial growers (in general) have to buy the “allowed” comercial seeds or clones.

I would love to be able to look a couple hundred years into the future to see what they will be growing at that time. Heck, the US has only been here for 250 years and look how much things have already changed.

Edit: OK I see a few pistils on No. 2 but zero on No. 3?

@DefNSmokn did you notice that Guerrilla Fume doesn’t like strong light or is it just my grow? I was getting lightening of the foliage until I pull the lights up higher.

I did not, but if you are using LED lighting, im betting its bc Skunk_VA still uses hps/cmh lighting, so the plants and their progeny are genetically used to HPS lighting, rather than the intense LEDs.
No proof to my claim, just assuming.
