The breeder says this one is “longer flowering and lower yielding” in favour of quality. I’m burning a 1k candle, so about $120 in hydro and another $100 in food, and another $50 in medium to bud these out, not counting veg. Better yield over a QP! Hoping for 1.5, at this point I dont think I’ll get over .75gpw.

With the amount of things that have to go right to get 1.5gpw on HID, your bar is set awfully high.
Dare I say though, there will be much more than a QP when this is done…

It can be done! I’m not the guy though. My best HPS run was .5gpw on 1kw and at the time I thought that was great, until I started seeing the guys pulling 1-1.5gpw on 600w and realized there’s some nuances to HID that I hadn’t really grasped.
It’s sad but I don’t think I’m gonna go back to HPS ever, though I’d like to put some of what I learned from previous failures to the test to see if I can get that elusive 1gpw.
But .75gpw, I’m looking at your grow and thinking that if things keep going good you might even exceed that.

A quick update:
Flipped Nov 6 so this makes it day, uhm, 41? Yeah, last day of week 6.
Fed yesterday. Dropped most additives, and ran out of Massive, so the feeding from now till finish will be
EC0.0 water
EC0.6 bloom booster
EC0.2 Head Masta
EC1.0 GH FloraNova Bloom

Now they did not stack up as well as some, but the breeder did say “lower yielding”, so i’m guessing par for the course. They look pretty good though, and smell simply amazing. I have never even smelled anything like this before. Lemony, pine-ey, and almost nothing like cannabis.

Day 51, early week 8.Changed to MH for the last two weeks or so, on a superstition that trichome production will be increased.

Day 61 since flip, end of week 9. Still lots of clear trichomes, i think she will have to go full 10. but the fade has started. Need to feed/water today
Reduced the feed down to maintenance - EC1.2 of FloraNova bloom, pH to 5.8, nothing else

Vast majority (80%) are cloudy. A couple of them amber (5%), and a few are still clear (15%).

I hope so. because my macro monster is ready for training and scrog, and needs a home in the flower tent…
