I’ll be doing a flower run the 1st go, taking clones of best suspected mothers, vigor, structure, bud and terp production. Already a fast flowering plant, so no worries there.
Just trying to figure what I can get away with for 20 pots in the 4x4 without having to water 2x a day.
Leaning towards the fabric pots, there should be enough room for 20. I can fit 40 of the .7 gal square pots in there.
I’ll take some measurements tomorrow after work.

It’s a soiless mix, holds moisture better than coco but less than soil

Get 2x4 trays water one to 2x week pack with 1gal fabric pots in pro mix hp no added perlite.

Has been successful for me they are nice and dry by end of week. Flood them to rim bottom feeding and put your nutes in the top.

I know you said your plan is to keep them short and small I think that will help keep you from watering twice a day unless your temps get a little high

I was also thinking this route as well in the very 1st place, I already bought 5 of the heavy duty ones as I was gonna use them in my 2x4, maybe I’ll have to get 5 more for the 4x4

Oh my bad, I thought those were the cloning trays…

Yes, that will definitely help, I just not sure how the stretch is on them yet, but I don’t think it will be that bad.
Thanks for all the input all, keep it coming if ya got more to add.
Just trying to get everything figured out before the time comes, so I’m fully prepared.
I like to plan shit out…

From what I can tell so far with my experience with small pots and watering is it’s just been easiest lifting the pot lol :joy: there’s so much that comes into play with how much the plants drink and stretch is definitely one of those times

however even the couple times I’ve been lazy and skipped a watering cause I didn’t go get water when they could of used it I just made sure to water till run off as soon as I could no issues

For some reason though I just can’t escape the feeling you take all the money your saving not buying seeds and end up buying a automated watering system especially for flowering

What are those pots with the grommets called? Look like they would be great for tying branches down. Im running coco for the first time and had to use bamboo stakes to spread the branches out a bit.

I already have auto pots AND 40 Bluemats, but I don’t trust the bluemats, one little bump and the rez is on the floor…

I think you’re referring to the Air pots? It would work, but it’s pretty flimsy material
