Hash Making Revisited

So I took some of my rosin,

And took some of my kief,

Started mixing them together,

Until I ended up with this,

You should give that all to me for proper disposal. Looks VERY unhealthy. /s

I would hate to see any OGers get sick.

My take-away @THCeed is that I need a stamp.

You are close enough, that I think I could sling shot some your way.

120-90 dry sift. I wanted to make it as close as I could to a true temple ball that’s why I went dry sift instead of the fresh frozen bubble.

I have so much dry sift.

This was the first time i did a dry sift run. It worked out pretty good but it felt like I was dealing with pollen, it was a dusty process

Yes, most people I know had to leave the room from reacting to it.

Some freeze dried hash in a calyx container. Part of an aging experiment! I probably won’t even dab it.

right on man.
After years of making hash with my rudimentary methods I finally broke down and bought an actual bubble bag set. No one carries such things in my little town so I had to resort to amazon prime.
Gonna run a pound or so of Shishkaberry 3 and LuixG13 from this years greenhouse run.
This thread has motivated me to get out of my rut and try something new. I have been making hash via water extraction for pretty much the last 30 years but never actually used the bubble bags. Have never run fresh frozen material before either so I have many tools to aquire and will make plans to dedicate some plants to a fresh frozen hash run. I’ve got enough greenhouse flower to last me the year so I’ll try some sub zero hash making projects as we get deeper into winter and the -20’s for optimum working conditions

Took some of my freezer trash to stash last night using the drill/cake mixer style from the drill and shadows video :joy:

Thanks for sharing your techniques @JoeCrowe

Plenty of room for improvement :+1:

Thanks for the props everyone! It brings me a tear of joy in these dark times! Ahh to see the improvements and live extracts. Good times! From contamination hash to full melt.

I ripped about 5 of these today.

Carelessly aging hash nuggets.

Is there a certain reason you used a full port and male barbed threaded connectors instead of a barbed connector @madouesse @FreeCanadianHugs. And since some time has passed since your last post is there anything else you’d reccommend before purchasing one of these? Thinking ill have this be my big Christmas gift this year so I want to get some more info. This is what I was talking about using instead of the full port. I didn’t understand your reasoning for the full port over this besides cleaning might be easier?

The valves I used were decided by what was on sale in the surplus aisles at Princess Auto.
The one you showed will work fine .

@madouesse how long have you had your bubblebagdude washing machine and were there any other tips, tricks, or modifications you did that you haven’t posted up?

One is a bubblebag dude and the other is no-name that I bought off of Kijiji.
I’ve had them for about 4 years with no issues, I shared the mods that I did and haven’t had to tinker any further, the cutting of the front lip was for ease cleaning because I don’t wash in a bag , the insulation was to save a bit of ice consumption especially in the summer and the noise reduction was a bonus.
The hose mod with a valve is just the simplest way to drain the unit .
