Hash Making Revisited

Botrytis cinerea, most definitely! I told him it was contaminated and he knew it already. Said it’s just some personal shit we’re gonna do a pro cycle on where it’s freeze dried and rosin pressed. Nobody is testing it, so that’ll be fine. I’m always interested in seeing someone else’s setup and how they operate.

If you are shelf drying I would suggest a week, unless you dried it specifically in a dehydrator or something. I usually cut it into tiny bits and put it in the freezer on a sheet of parchment to freeze dry. Takes a week.
Any frozen bubble has an extreme shelf life in the freezer it’ll never go bad as far as I can tell.

How much bud is too much in a five gallon bucket Joe!?

My first go - did about 4 oz of Neville’s skunk that I kinda messed up at the end by letting them dry out too much so I figured it would be good for a test run.

I just separated into a light color and a dark color grade. Used 8 bags from bubble bag dude and a used washer I grabbed for cheap.

Let it dry about a week in a pizza box/parchment then rolled them into temple balls with a hot wine bottle last night. Smell is much gassier than I remember the flower being and in a good way. Think I’ll save this for Christmas time if I can :joy:

I’d go with a kilogram max!

For the best flavor and smell, you have to start with fresh green buds. That’s the secret to live extracts! Comes out a much lighter color, as well.

Yeah Im sure the old quality in quality out is true; this was mostly a practice run and I have some good flower coming up that will hopefully elevate the next run

You prefer fresh frozen for bubble as well?

Definitely go with fresh frozen. Make that into bubble hash, as a live extract, and then I can also make rosin from it. That’s the industry standard around these parts! I’m doing a live rosin extract here soon from the greenhouse buds I grew. Try to get rid of any organic particles with the 25μm bags.

Something like this.

fuck me, I broke the unicorn. I had it in a back pack on my shoulder and the shoulder strap broke. The whole thing went tumbling to the ground and smashed. Oh well C’est la vie en rouge.
Actually only the mouth piece broke off, the unicorn itself is fine. I’ll probably get them to fix it., the damage isn’t too bad.

That’s a bitch! Hopefully they can fix it for ya.

yah It can be fixed. I contacted the artist, and now I just have to bring it to the studio!

That’s unfortunate, let’s hope the maker can repair it.

Maybe you can get him to make you a travel rig.

ugh the shitty part is I only had an acrylic bong for a backup. I’ll get some more glass, so I have a decent backup rig.

I’ll check out what they have in the studio, I know they can whip up anything I am willing to pay for, lol!

And check all straps! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

hah hah I’ll get a new carrying case for my glass. It was a rude awakening to the dangers of old materials. By a decade. I did find an image of my face with the unicorn next to it on their IG wildfireproglass. Back into the glass kiln for the unicorn!
