Have you ever popped them? I bet that would be an amazing candidate for a preservation seeds run…
I’d have to agree with you about ‘back to nature’ comment, modern hybrids are fantastic in there own right but there is something special about the original varieties that naturally grow on the earth. I would liken it to our modern wheat plants, sure they now produce much heavier yields, with disease resistance etc but through all that selective breeding we have also significantly reduced nutrient density of the wheat germ! Similar to what has happened with cannabis when looking at it with a broad field of view… we’ve lost alot of the unique flavors, minor cannabinoid ratios, and unique highs in the drive to maximize potency and bag appeal. (That’s not to say there hasnt been some amazing breeders/growers like everyone here working to preserve the old stuff)
I think some people are just prone to that sort of issue, I am definitely one of them. Love that he would ‘smoke a beer’ instead
Lebanon blonde hash sounds like it was amazing, I wonder if we could find similar feelings in Lebanese LR (or whatever they grew for hash, I’m unfamiliar with the history behind that)
Man… I firmly believe that I grew up in the wrong timeline haha this sounds amazing.
I actually learned how to roll a joint from the ‘uncle Ben’ in my area… I’ve never met him but my friend learned from him then he taught me back in high school. Will have to try out the bill tech I wonder how the new Canadian plastic bills work for that
Little story from my father- he was traveling out west in the mid 70’s and ended up coming across this bud that was nothing like the brick he was used to, it was large fluffy buds with dark orange hairs and he recalls there being a good amount of visible trichomes. He says it’s still the best weed he has ever smoked and the seeds were as big as orange seeds. Man o man do I ever wish he saved some of those seeds.
Cheers Uncle Ben
