Yeah mate but not just a timer. The TH16 can use information (temps and humidity) to switch appliances as necessary depends what you want it to do.
They also have a feature called “scenes” which allow you to use the TH16 to switch other channels on different sonoffs. Basically you set parameters and the sonoffs keep them for you.
You can have schedules for lighting etc. You can also set loop timers for flood and drain. The possibilities are pretty broad really.
Yeah they use a remote server that sends, a signal over at chosen time. They can be reprogrammed though so they run a web server on them and that gets rid of the remote server and you can communicate directly with them.
Interesting… I dunno if I need that much amazingness but a solid reliable time would be cool

They are cheaper and more reliable than a plug in timer. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had it a couple of times a few weeks into bloom the sonoff server was down and they haven’t switched. It’s never caused me any major problems or herms though. It’s nice to be able to check temps and power draw/usage while away from the grow area via my phone 
I’ve never had that issue, mine work even without internet… 
I’m down to throw in some grow supplies and other goodies from the shop.

Hmmmm yeah a couple of times they didn’t turn off. Maybe a power cut (it happens often where I live but never for very long) If the internet is down and they still switch then the times are obviously programmed internally. If this is the case why have the remote server??
Still need supplies for the build. I can get them it would just delay the build about a week. Holidays killed my bank acct and short weeks didn’t help.
What kind of supplies are you needing?
Just the stuff for the frame and thermal paste. 2 10 foot sticks of aluminum angle or an aluminum sheet 23x23. Like i said no biggie just want to get this to the man asap so he can start getting quality meds growing
Thanks for your input, I made a search for sonoff in the forum and it is really overwhelming 
what can be done with them. I hope we are not excessively complicating @DatDamDog grow, too much information and techies to assimilate, at least for me … 
Take a look at the automation station thread. Starts with wiring a system. To programming it. With both sides of the pond covered and pretty much everywhere in-between.
@reikox is spot on. You only need internet to set it. Once its set it stays as is.
@esrgood4u you can set the sonoff up to resume state before power outage mate. Saves that headache

Fully feel you on the handwatering for the most part. That’s why I’ve used Coco for ages but F&D when set up does good things with you not needing to. Plus it looks really suspect me going to my shed the same time every day. Especially with that bright orange unmistakable HPS glow

Another side note: somehow caught an episode of some like, Brit version of Cops and they were going to bust a “marijuana factory”(their words lol) dude had like 10 small plants and the were still all “this factory here is quite small…”
