They prob do, but again my math: volume + handtrim time (vs) trichome loss = Donāt care, worth it. 
This being said any PREMIUM colas can always be set aside for hand trimming but I got this thing after a growmie told me it took him 3hrs to take care of 100+ plants from a bulk outdoor CBD grow so i was all 
and then bought it last spring.
It was amazon.ca, usually 300 but when I looked it was 250 so I jumped.

Sounds like paying a trimmer one time 30 buck an hour and getting it ever after for free. 
This machine took our jobs!
But holy cow what a time saver. And when youāve got so much bulk itās a necessity.
But if youāre only taking out of your own pocket, putting time back in your own lifeā¦haha no guilt.
That trimming machine seems totally worth it for those big outdoor plants. I dread hand trimming my last 3 outdoor plants this year.
Ends up in a mesh net thatās stuck to the base of the fan. Itās mostly fan-leaves so I just tossed the lot tbh.
It really freaking did. I was like 1hr in and then reached into the usual never ending pile and my hand foundā¦ nothing. 
This is why I bought it in the spring. No background stress all year!!
