How do you get High✌️

No. Short answer, no. Im a fan of not alot of water though.

It is a pipe that is traditionally held vertically between the fingers of one hand while your other hand creates a vacuum by cupping the bowl hand. A chillum is an unusual pipe in that it’s a straight shot from bowl to draw end. It’s like a straw, and the bowl end is a larger diameter than the draw end.

Somewhere I have one that I carved out of soapstone maybe 50 years ago. Made a little doe skin pouch for it too. I think the closure is a buffalo horn bead.

My go-to cleaner for my bong is “astonish” tea cup cleaner

It’s a powder I get down into the bong and then I pour boiling water in, and it foams up. Does a great job, gets into the nooks and crannies, no shaking, and it’s cheap, which is also nice.

If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll dry the bong fully in the toaster oven for a little while to make it easier to get the powder down the tube without sticking, but often don’t bother with that part.

For my Arizer stems, I boil them with a bit of dishwasher detergent, and they’re clean pretty quick. Again no shaking (and cheap).

I know some folks swear by 99% iso, but I agree about it leaving things sticky and needing another rinse, and this works for me pretty well.

As far as setup, I’ll link my comment in the other thread: Whats your go to way to smoke? - #89 by C_in_CT but it’s an Arizer Airmax + bong and a pass-thru adapter to make clearing the bong easier.

@C_in_CT, thank you.

Let me ask, do you pour the water up to the top of the neck? I have 16 and 20 inch bongs. I guess they could be dried in our range oven.

Also, how long do you let yours soak?

I pour the powder down the same opening that the bowl could go in, because of the style of my bong. I would say put it into the bong so it will foam up in the same direction as the air path.
Like putting it in the bottom so it’ll foam up past percolators or whatnot that get buildup underneath them, if that makes sense.

The water I pour in the same opening, for other styles I’d say plugging the bowl opening and pouring the water down the neck at least up to where you want it to “scrub”. And be aware that it’s a fairly energetic process so you’ll want to put a paper towel or something lightly over the neck to prevent splashing. If you don’t fill it to the top, which will let it “push” the now-loose resin/etc out of the bong, you’ll need to rinse that stuff out when you’re done.

I pour the boiling water and check on it in 20-30 min, sometimes longer. Basically “once it stops foaming, it’s done”. If I’ve gone too long without cleaning my bong, I might need to run it a second time (and that’s with vaping, so smoke might have more buildup, just to set expectations).

One benefit of the oven treatment is that it heats the glass up so the water stays as hot as possible as long as possible.

I’m overdue to clean mine, I could see if I can record the “boiling water into powder” reaction when I do it next.

The cleaner works wonders on tea and coffee stains too, so if you get some to try and don’t like it for the bong, it’s useful for other things

Also known as a back swing. Exactly as @CapnCannabis describes. They can be really amazing. I re-roofed multiple houses over the course of my life. The only one I ever did without having an aching back, even when I was in my 20s, was one where I had access to a back swing. Three to five minutes a day. It was like magic! You, however, as the user, must be careful. I’m sure they can be dangerous.
