I know most of us on here are seasoned growers but just out of curiosity how many would take a short class or series of classes? What would be something you’d expect to see in the class?
Once upon a time, absolutely.
Now?? --nah. I’m amassing the knowledge I need by just doin’ the damn thing
Be extraordinarily clear how important ph is.
And whole class on overwatering and LITFA…lol
In my opinion, the best thing someone could do is tour a few really well run gardens using different setups(ie organic, full hydro, indoor/outdoor etc) and really going into the details of the grow. There’s already so much information out there, but so much of it is hypothetical vs showing the method in action. And I’ve personally learned about everything I know from hanging out in other people’s grows. But of course, there’s a lot of ways to learn!
I agree this is great! I knew nothing of hydro or aeroponic growing until I saw the grow.
I think general horticulture classes would be more beneficial.
This would ultimately be a part of it
as long as you’re just as clear on how you can safely ignore it i’d agree. my whole first hydro experience of 4 grows before i shut it down 20 years ago i never once checked the ph, nor did i know i should have been. i was using bloom and grow nutes and it automatically adjusted it. i just found out last year. so if you want to never worry about it again, just do a dwc setup and use grow and bloom, about a capful per 5 gal and change the water every three weeks. i still shake my head at how i missed that (usually) very important thing while growing and had no clue.
The best course is to find someone doing it how you want to do it on OG and steal from them
Stealing is always the answer. If you want it, just take it @Foreigner
Classes eh. No.
Get a mentor, if he can’t stand your ass go to school with the others lol

The truth about sativa & indica. That they are not absolutely indicative of the type of effects, they are classifications based on anatomy differences linked to environmental factors. We have been cultivating hybridized plants for decades as well as working these genetics in very different environments then their places of origin. Also that the total combination of cannabinoids and flavanoids etc. is the major factor in what type of buzz we get, besides our individual systems. (There are sativa dominants that have sedative effects and also indica dominants that have uplifting effects. But most people aren’t ready for that conversation lol)

Cannabis morphology. Anatomy terminology and understanding of functions

Fundamental information about resin. It’s production/development, structure, collection and preservation ( we always focus on flower but I persinally think new growers can make quality resin easier than flower)

Potential differences between personal and commercial production

Differences, pros and cons between traditional, feminized and autoflowering/day neutral
Different context (soil & coco), almost the same deal (right nutes for it) : i grow PH free since 20 years.
Im a newbie so i’d be interested.
You were fortunate your setup kept pH in check. That’s not usually the case for lots of people. An easy SOP still shouldn’t equal to ignoring pH. It’s extremely important for a person learning cultivation to understand. However, yes I definitely agree monitoring and adjusting should be made as easy as possible
Use your search engine on this site. There is a VAST amount of knowledge shared by members right here……
I have looked into a few of them. Don’t think it would help me where I live. I thought it might help me with a job. I seen some stuff out west a minute back about learning the different favors just a class to get high with rich people. lol I thought it might be fun. There is a sponsor here that has classes.
For money would be the only reason that I will do it. A little hobby. Something to waste money on. lol
Try this bro:
Certifications that don’t concern production Oo … it’s a bit WTF to see for an EU stoner i must confess.
How it translate in B2B ? It’s really recognized like in high tech or it’s just a kind of psychological degree / profile filling ?
