How much weed fits into a quart jar?

I fit 50g per quart last grow, stuffed fairly tight. 6.5 quarts when I was done.

1 ounce = 1 quart ball jar … smushing will not be tolerated !

I’ve stopped using weight to gauge how much I have. I now use volume. I’ve got 3 gallons sitting in storage. And I don’t need to break out the scale

your right, dense heavy bud it will hold more weight, light fluffy bud it may not even hold a oz. Also the moisture content will matter.

makes the most sense to me

One to two weeks worth.

Back when ‘dope’ was seeded an ounce was about 3.5 to 4 fingers in a bag. Seedless a quart jar is just about right but yeah depends on indica or sativa. Not a good idea to smoosh flowers as others have pointed out.

@cannabissequoia I believe I have seen this topic at least one other time. Are we due a faq status or we after interaction here?

Since it’s in the lounge area I say 'laissez-faire. Whatever that means!

It’s such a variable thing with buds, trim level, airspace/compaction, there’ll never be consensus.

Why use glass when you can use plastic.

That’s some nice looking buds there. I’d most definitely jar it. I’d be terrified of squishing it !

More than likely, I rarely put more than 28g in a qt. size jar. Imo that’s the sweet spot for curing. That’s just my opinion tho, and what works in my camp.

That’s a shot of bud that was harvested 3 years before. It was in a foodsaver bag. 1/2 pound

If you double bag it you don’t have to worry about squishing. I’ll put the buds first bag that i just “seal” with vacuum sealer, put that to second bag and vacuum that. This way they wont get squished. :+1:
