Howard's Hunt for Headstash

I just sprouted a couple more myself to see what comes out. Yours are looking great.

The Goji OG mom I used liked lighter nutes but would consume water faster than the Orange Sunshine females and grew taller and yielded more than the Orange Sunshines as well.

Those plants look better everyday keep up the good work.

Orange Goji #2 - Misc. Shots

Tried to get some flash shots in the mix. I have a lot to learn and need to work on that, apparently.

I like the non flash pictures they show an honest depiction of the plants.

Still looking good

Looking excellent! I have some orange goji just popping out of the soil myself and you are making me drool with your beautiful plants.

May have to pop a few more in

3-A Seedlings

They’re pretty crowded at the moment, unfortunately.

They’ll get a chance to spread out a bit in the fairly near future, I think.

They are pretty enough to like twice

I would tend to agree… either taken under bright light or sunlight. The flash makes the available colors stand out better in low light.

I personally take flash pics, but mainly to check trichome color and other ripeness factors. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and a good pic can’t be beat.

The Durban x Jungle Spice will actually be flowered in the beer cups, in an attempt to keep them small enough for that cabinet. Unless there are enough males culled to allow space to upgrade the rest to half-gallon pots, anyways.

With flood and drain, the pot size doesn’t seem to be as big a limitation as it might be otherwise. I’ve done this a few times before with other sativa-dom strains in beer cups in that cabinet, and actually ended up with some surprisingly decent results.

I probably should have just waited until the main tent was available, but I got excited and didn’t want to wait

Are you using soil or a soil-less medium for the flood and drain I’ve been zooming in trying to get a good peak at the whole set-up lol

I’m using straight coco. This is the root ball of the male Durban x Jungle Spice I culled today:

This is in an old cabinet I made out of 1" MDF I had laying around about ten years ago:

Inside is a seven gallon bus tub with standard flood and drain fittings drilled through:

Note that the tub is inset into the floor of the cabinet. I just took a jigsaw and cut a hole through the floor to fit the tub, which now rests on the lip and handles.

I stole that idea from someone here on the forums (I thought it was @ReikoX, not sure anymore).

To do that, I had to lift the entire thing up on legs made from 2x4 to support the weight, and the reservoir is another 7-gallon tub underneath:

Inside dimensions are 24" width, 24" depth, 29" height.

It’s lit by a 100W quantum board mounted to the ceiling:

It has two AC fans for air exchange through the cabinet, and one for internal circulation.

There is no odor filter, because the room it’s in contains my main tent, which has a filter, and the entire room has a charcoal filter on the exhaust, both run by 6" AC Infinity fans.

It’s pretty ghetto, but I’ve grown some fantastic smoke with it, and I’m not at all unhappy with it given the constraints I’m under
