I had the same thing happen to me from a plant that I vegged for 3 months before flipping it. IMO it’s still fun growing weed even when you have to chop it.

I was thinking of keeping the dam thing and seeing about trying for some seeds, but this mail was such a slow growing plant I did not want to mess with it.
Is it typical for males to grow slower than females?
I agree it is a boy.
No, in my experience males grow “faster” than females in veg.
By “faster” I mean taller, with larger internodal spacing, and usually with more apical dominance (less/no branching). While females stay shorter, with tighter node spacing, and frequently more vigorous side branching.
