If it is fast and on the leaves/pot, it is likely scavenging or hunting. If it is slow and stays on the leaves, it is likely grazing on the leaves.

A piece of clear packing tape can be used to trap a bug for ID.

Great minds. I did just that. I had a little trouble getting to stick and when I put them under X60 & X120, the slight pressure turned them into a slightly tented blob.

Oops. What did the bug guts look like?

Some clear and some looked like dirt. I can see them on the rim and soil now. Not the young from the Evil stink bug for sure. They are red.

Try putting the tape sticky side up on the side of the pot and see if you get some stuck on there that way.

The tiny red mites and not a problem, are they?

I think the baby stink bugs are red. Not sure, bug identification is difficult even for the experts. All we can do is guess right now.

@ReikoX yes the baby stink bugs are red and turn brown in a later stage. I have found and killed two bad stink bugs, brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB)

Wonder if we can figure out some sort of bait and trap for these guys.
