I am not proficient in the proven medical benefits for curing ailments and cannabis.

I do “believe” in its properties to help buffer and protect the body from physical harm, but cure?

Rumor has it that consumption of large quantities of CBD may blur vision, temporarily. Don’t worry about that, right?

I wish you the very best in your search. I will be watching for sure.

Wish I could steer you in the right direction. Only rumor I ever heard about glaucoma and cannabis is that cannabis helps to dilate the pupil, which makes things brighter but doesn’t effect peripheral vision necessarily. Glaucoma is a dark black edge/blind-spot that creeps into your pupil from the outside of your eye blocking your peripheral vision. Like @99PerCent says, as a cure?, for great relief of discomfort, yes.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong. Best of luck @GreenCaciqueHawaii in the hunt.

What strain gives you “red eye”? It’s the constricting of the blood vessels that cause red eye and help with the glaucoma. I’m thinking a heavy indica would do it.

The condition i have i called narrowing angle glaucoma the surrounding area of the iris is to narrow for the liquids to go from the front of the eye to the back causing pressure of the liquid on the eye creating.the disconfort or pain, i had w they call an iridotomy is a small hole they do w laser on the iris of the eye to ensure when the pressure is a lot uses the small hole as a canal to redirect liquids in the eye, don know if is working if still like this the next step is invasive surgery taking out a little peace of the iris on the top of the eye to ensure the liquids can move without problem, i want to try to evade that surgery , and more in an area that i consider so important don’t want any invasive stuff on my eyes

That’s very intense. I feel for you. Any kind of issue with vision is a bummer.

The pressure you talk about is interesting. Does holding a lung full of vapor or smoke too long seem to affect that pressure at all? Maybe there’s a Saline with THC/CBD drops available?

i think not but could be interesting in try do to dometing a balm or anything to put around the eye to help i think not directly into the eye cannabis products are based in oils most of the time and alcohol and i don’t think is a good idea put alcohol in the eyes heheheeh and holding smoke or vapor does not affect eye pressure is even completely different from blood pressure, high blood pressure can affect the eyes but the pressure is different ima cardiac patient had blood pressure episodes and arritmias, that still dormand hope still like that

Leafly has 197 strains listed for eye pressure… leafly is not always correct though. Anyway the ones that stood out to me that would be easy to get were:
Goji OG - bodhi seeds
Blue moon rocks - @BogSeeds

super appreciated a lot for the info and yes i try to ask better some experienced growers because i have tested some strains that were supposed to be good for pain and they didnt do nothing at all, plus i notice that here is a lot of dedicated people that like to do research too as i do too sometimes like to corroborate some info, even sometimes can find big differences from breeder to breeder

The most eye effecting strain I have had is Serious - Chronic
that made me lose vision temporarily
it created some major red eye in a few friends too
that would be around 2005ish so may have changed
definite eye strain
whether good or bad would be your opinion

Glaucoma brings with it a pressure in the eyeball. That is why the eye doctor uses the puff test to detect it. THC helps reduce the pressure. Not a “cure” but excellent for relief from the symptoms.
