Im curious to know what deficiency is this linked to?

Check the picture below and someone please tell me what is this linked to. This is my first grow and it kinda saddens me that my plants are not 100% healthy lol. But Iā€™m sure this can be fixed hopefully :crossed_fingers:t4:

Looks like nitrogen def. Are the veins of the leaves staying dark? If so its magnesium. Not have magnesium can cause a bunch of lockups. Transplant it into some new soil, topdress with some good compost. Or for a temporary quick fix use epsom salts.

Yea I was gonna transplant tomorrow . Iā€™m starting to see the roots come out the bottom.
I fed em once thinking they were receiving enough nitrogen. The veins look healthy, but it looms like the disease started with the first set of leaves now moving up. And all four of my plants have this same illness .
So would you recommend when I transplant . Throw some Espom salt in the soil and feed with cal mag?

Yeah it sounds like nitrogen is being locked out. I suggest using a bit of epsom salts diluted with water and used like that. But remember. Its only a temp fix. Good compost and good soil is the only way to fix it for good:) the pic looks like straight nitrogen def though. What soil you using? What are you feeding them? The roots at the bottom could be rootbound and that causes every problem you could think of.

Well Iā€™m using MG moisture control right now. I will be transplanting then to FF with root enhancement . I only fed them once with General hydro products half strength. Iā€™m def gonna try your advice and hopefully it bounces back.
But I donā€™t think the roots are bound . It looks like they just reached the bottom.

Just transplant and wait. Like @lotus710 said I think it is shitty soil giving out.

How big is the plant compared to the pot. Did you top it?

Yea I hope it is the soil .
Yea I did top , but only two of them . And all them have the same deficiency . So it rules that out .
The pots are only big as solo cups and the plants are on their 5 to 6th node .
I do see roots poking from the bottom. They look healthy and not cooked so I guess weā€™ll see what the transplant and epsom does.

I was trying to get an idea about the size of the plant versus the pot. Weak soil and small pot is probably to blame. Miracle grow wants you to feed often so there isnā€™t much buffering with minerals in there soil. (oyster shell, azomite, glacial rock dust, gypsum)

Intersecting.

I was scared to put them on an aggressive feed schedule because Iā€™ve heard so much about MG soil and their time release nitrogen so I didnā€™t want to burn them so young , but hearing you guys advice I canā€™t wait to transplant them into the FoxFarm now lol

Fox farm now. Notill later;)

The first few weeks they do good but as time goes on they peter out and you are left guessing what to feed. Mineral amendments help enzymes smooth everything out.

Hmm no till?? Gotta forgive me Iā€™m a complete noob lol.
And yea I guess the first couple weeks they sucked all the nutrients out of the soil and considering their still in solo cup size pots.

Ask Lotus about no till. You will make his day!

Lol :joy: :joy: I gotta know now

What are you doing for the next rest of your life? No till is the pinnacle of organic, natural gardeningā€¦ itā€™s building a happy little balanced ecosystem of plant perfection, and yeah ā€“ lotus will show you the way.

Yeah, as said, stay away from MG stuff. Iā€™ve been using Fox Farm Happy Frog with few complaints, though Iā€™ve built a good collection of soil ingredients for supplementing.

Hey @lotus show me the way mr Miagi

Well in our lives nowadays farming has changed a lot. We went from growing naturaly to using man made or extracted chemicals. These chemicals destroy any sign of life in our soil. Now there is no life causing your soil to harden and become weak, bad bugs and insects get ahold easier, and now you must get more chemicals to fight the problems you got from using the first chemicals. Sound familar? Thats exactly how big pharma works. Notill gardening takes us back to the roots of farming. By the very first farmer. Mother nature. She does it so wonderfully dont you think? Look in a forest. Its full of life. There are leaves and fallen trees covering the ground giving home to animals, insects and microorganisms. Move a bit of this covering and you see worms, fungi, the works. And they are all working together in something called the soil life cycle. Plants and bugs grow, they die, they decompose, they fertilize and plant seed for the next round. Imagine notill gardening just like this. Notill meansā€¦ wellā€¦ that you dont till your soil. Tilling also kills and disturbs life so the pests have a chance to get hold. We have worms in our soil and a cover crop going so the soil is always loose. The worms turn the decomposed material into vermi compost right in your pots so your plants can take up the nutrients whenever it needs. When you cut down a plant you throw the leaves back on the soil as food for the life leave the root and stem as food too. We use large pots as to replicate large bodies of soil. This also allows you to water less because the soil has better water retention. And it only gets better with time. You never have to dump out your pots, replace your soil, transplant, not even till the surface;) i just pop seeds or seedlings right into its forever home. its the simplest way of gardening as all you have to do is make sure the life stays watered and fed. Oh and did i mention that you can grow mushrooms on the mulch layer? Some might even make you feel wonderful;) i think i did good? I dont got any haze left. And these kushes dont make me too creativešŸ˜‚ @ryasco knows me too good
