Does anyone know of a simple solution for a Data Logging, Looking to monitor Temp and Humidity at a reasonable price. I have look into Raspberry Pi, and Arduino they are just too time consuming to learn.
Surely @Mr.Sparkle will have some good advice for you.
Also, @Northern_Loki has been working with some programming.
You are close to your answers now.
Let me know if you find out something
They will visit, I am sure.
What would you consider a reasonable cost?
Any other specs? E.g. How do you plan on using the data?
Take a gander into this thread, while not specifically addressing your question, it has some interesting solutions from OG members for humidity and temperature monitoring / logging:
I’m using one of these. Not quite as user friendly as a SensorPush, but inexpensive for sure.
Yea i looked into that one ,but i didnt see any way to record data
Under 30 bucks or not too much from that
There are ways… but not user friendly ways. Logging requires some DIY.
Short info on how I did it:
- add a power cord to it
- open up the plastic and flash “EspEasy” firmware with serial <> usb adapter
- navigate to web interface and add query commands
- create small python script to collect the data remotely
For which device will this be used on
It can log some data by itself if you wish. Probably 1-2k data points. I run the python program from my computer and save the data there.
Inkbird has a data logger for about 35 bucks.
I seen that one, gonna go with the Sonoff
