Increasing Weight and Cannabinoid Content Using Drought Stress

hey there friend i’ll give you some back round on my cut it was sent to maine from california in a bouquet of flowers in 2012 from what my friend who received the Ghost told me. i have had it for 6 years now it is strong testing out around 22-25% depending on grower skill and room temps. straight gasoline and lemon with a hint of pine. she likes to put on medium weight 20-30 oz per 4ftx4ft area under1000w HPS and finishes well in 60 day provided you run 11/13 light 12 and 12 light and will want 70 in my opinion. the stretch is signature OG 50% or more if you are not careful this is where the 11/13 light helps me out.

Great looking plant looks like the one I got but your doing a better job with her, mines in the shade outside and isent plumping up quite as good.
She is definitely a floppy bitch.
I have a original sfv og also and there indistinguishable from each other so far, taste test will tell for sure. The 92 on the other hand is alot more gas with out the stretch or floppy branches.
I’m obsessed with OG kush and have been for quite some time :joy:

my cut will only behave like this in 2 circumstances 1. when i made a mistake and have to revert a flowering branch to clone and 2. when use to try small plants 1-3 gallon under not enough light. i believe you an i have 2 difference ghost OGs here. no surprize. but Josh D. and origins tkOG told me that there are a endless variations some are improvements some are not. the first OG has very little production value especially now that the average seed bank gives free seeds with every purchase that are stronger… but it is a classic truly a timeless strain.

does it set your hair on fire when u smoke it? my plant might be improved for yield as well, it runs 8-10 weeks depending on the conditions and i can get between 1.5 -2 lbs a 4x4 which from what i have been told is not signature to OG kush

the other thing is you could have some newbies bag seed herm or a mutant colidal silver fem inbred. (the leaf blistering out of the flower is a signature of some sort off hybridization) the ghost og set the standard for bag appeal. would never tell you you dont have the real Ghost because i was 3-4 years old when the ghost was born. i believe that i have the modified for production version myself.

also i will add that my strain of ghost is incredibly intolerant of light leaks and root related stress it herms when flushed to hard it herms if i dont cover leds on electronics it herms when its done ripening as well some its about 1-10 grows i get 20 seeds across 6 pounds of dried flower.

Well you definetly nailed the description of these plants growing conditions. There in three gallon pots and only get about a hour of direct light a day so there not living up to there potential at all.
There very floppy plants with golf ball sized buds that typically don’t form colas. The yield is really small so I’m almost leaning towards yours being a hybrid but really who knows. I’ve sent pictures to somebody who I know has the original as he is responsible for it getting into ghosts hands in the first place. He said it looks legit but would require a smell / taste test to be sure. There is a source for a verified from the source ghost cut in Los Angelas but it’s really hard for me to get down there. I do intend on picking one up though to compare at some point. I will say that the original is very rare still and most people don’t bother with it do to the harvest. It’s definitely light your hair on fire og high that I prefer over most anything else. The ghost and sfv look so similar most wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. The ghost finishes faster then the sfv and grows slightly tighter nugs. This 92 looks like of nugs but with much closer node spacing and rigid branches. Just about every og out there is a one off or hybrid of some kind. When I say one off I mean a s1 that is missing one of three things ,either smell , taste or potency.

If you want to increase terpenes , and oil production . Try , Chitosan and tricantnol
Great tools to have at your disposal. So is Ga3 and Ba.

I get this in my wine making kits, how much would you use🤔

Wow, I had no idea that used this for clarifying wine.

There are a couple of crossovers between wine making and weed making potassium metabisulphate is another ingredient used in growing as well I believe

I have to find my mixing chart ill post later but Chitosan is the main ingredient in AN bud X . Its ground up exoskeletons of bugs ocean life. It makes the plant think its being attacked by insects. The pant responds by making oils and terpenes . You bet your but it works too. I user it every flower cycle.

3 gallon container without watering for 11 days?? Sounds like death. Could be all the plants were overwatered thus the under-watering fixed it for the sample. I find watering when the container is pretty light does show a big boost for the next 24 hours. Though that can diminish until the next watering. I think I will let my current one dry out a bit more because I suspect it may be a bit overwatered, though it’s in a fabric container.

I agree with @ReikoX, this is a very limited experiment.

I think there is consensus that controlled stress can boost results. How best to administer it seems the art form.

I though this is standard practice? Iv done this for years now usually before the “drought” stage id feed the plant tea but put b vitamins in it so it increases its metabolism and pulls everything out the soil I usually only water 2 days a week if its not above 75 outside.

Alfalfa has tricantnol in it naturally just a part of the reason it makes such a great soil additive :+1:
