Intersex Trait

Nice. Now you’re teaching Tony Green how to breed… when you’re done, I have a great-grandmother who needs to learn how to sew, ok?

You should actually try something yourself it’s actually quite fun.

You should try reading. I, like most others here, already am doing things… I’m just not deluding myself into thinking that I’m a master breeder who can give lectures based on one successful pollen-chuck. You took a WoS scam seed and linebred it until it turned into something nice - or at least something you think is nice - congrats! Tony stabilized GG4 over the course of a decade and more, and you think you’re going to teach him anything?

I never inferred I could teach him anything so why don’t you go start an internet fight with someone else?

I inferred from your stepping into the middle of an argument between large-scale breeders on ethylene production, and your response to Tony, that you were teaching him where he had been going wrong in his work with feminized seeds. I’m also inferring that you don’t know the difference between inference and implication, but that’s another story. Anyway, just pointing out that you have nothing to teach him. That’s all. I did that, and you responded that I should “actually do something myself,” which I inferred was an attempt to shut me up. Perhaps I was wrong. If so, my apologies.

Say anything you want about me. But please don’t bring other peoples arguments into my simple post. I’m playing checkers and they are playing chess. But only one is right, so that means one is wrong. But thanks to mentioning Tony and I will follow along and learns some stuff I hope. I’m not here to fight, period!

You can smell the difference between males and females if you grasp what smelly compounds are derived from ethylene. Methyl compounds. Fruity sharp aromasmIt’s pretty easy to tell female smells from male unless you’re super bisexual or something.

This is how real breeders think, like they’ve actually grown a plant before. They don’t go around yelling technobabble asking for hundreds of dollars.

WHORLED PHYLOTAXY VARIEGATION GENETICAL DRIFT!

There’s a reason to chase sterility. Cannoisseurs want hyper masculine smoke. There’s a reason our ancestors made hash with low yielding seeded crops that blew big clouds instead of refrigerated sensi vapor pods that don’t blow clouds at all. Every strain I like will herm at week 8.

I’m just trolling. Intersex is caused by CalMag deficiency.

Hey everyone :+1:

Can a fem seeds produce any male parts that would be deemed “neutral” and not produce pollen?

That was a breeders response when I mentioned I had 2/6 seeds herm. I sent a photo of the male parts but was told not to worry?

Neutral pollen sacs sounds ridiculous but I don’t have a ton of experience lol

You will sometimes get male parts that don’t fully develop and they don’t drop pollen.

I had one herm on me that threw a ton of bananas but didn’t pollinate anything. Not attractive but no big deal.

Where at these pics?

Who’s the breeder? He’s full of shit and you shouldn’t run his gear. Chances of a good feminized cross or s1 producing a male / male part is like 1/1000 or something. If it happened in 2/6 seeds, then it’s most likely pollen contamination.

I would be concerned but not worried. Or maybe worried but not concerned. One of those.

Those two dangly things look ugly but are probably harmless.

Put on your spectacles and keep a very close watch.

It’s called Pure Breeding

I checked out what you are doing. I’m a hobby breeder on the same path but with no intentions of going commercial as I’m retired, otherwise I’m the same as you. I test for intersex traits a lot and have stuff to feminize but too much regular work at the moment. I’m working with an extremely great Red Girl Scout Cookies that I ended up with only one female and I’ve been breeding it back to the clone with what started as a the closest relative I had. I’ll be picking BX2 out of the bud this week for BX3 breeding. The weed cures black and smokes like some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s sort of like an extra tasty OG Kush in flavor and it’s strong and Indica leaning.

Hey Sativa Kid,
Feminization itself can be a stress test to determine intersex traits in parent stock. Plants have a varying response to STS (or other Ethylene blockers) Some plants will produce profuse male flowers, while others will develop fewer pollen sacs within the pistillate floral mass.

Choosing the pollen donor plants that produce the least amount of pollen in response to reversal can help to select against intersex tendencies. To do this, your pollen harvest game needs to be on point.

Whoa! Yes Sir! Thanks for informing me about the stress test understanding. I’ve only used Colloidal Silver as an Ethylene blocker and never STS. So my only understanding of learning about “Intersex Traits” is what I’ve witnessed in my pollen chucking and growing. I’m an experienced and retired machine specialist/designer and not a Botanist. I understand only what I’ve seen and just repeating what I witnessed. And what a firestorm I received, from the Cannabis folks. But the truth doesn’t change only the perception of the truth. And a lot of people have built their houses on Hermie polluted genetics. And for them it’s easier to blame it on a minor stress than bad breeding principles. Thanks for the book I’ll read and learn.
