Yeah, I used mine on my blackberry fire outdoor and got 3 ounces of shake. Since I’m making RSO now. I will use it more. It also did leave a huge pile of Kief. I didn’t care for that.

If I start with 8 ounces of untrimmed bud I usually get 4 oz of good buds and 4 oz of trim. It is usually a 1/2 and 1/2 deal or close to it.

You still got to get the buds off the plant and get rid of those big sugar leaves which is still a pain in the ass. The trimmers help big time in my opinion saving time. 30 seconds of cranking vs a week with small clippers and patience.

I have found that day 6 of drying is the least amount of trim. Day 8 is a large amount of trim but better looking buds.

When I run out of hash from the trimmings I just wash buds… So far my grows have keep me with plenty of trim for hash.

GR.

Isn’t that one of those wet trimmers. Seen guys on youtube using DIY box fans. Whacks the shit out of the wet trim. Seems to work though.

It is. I saw this shitty as fuck video but the 30 seconds of useful demonstration makes it seem like it’ll be worth my $$ for my outdoor trees.

I’d do the top-tier colas by hand, but then all the bulk would use this before my wash and then hanging.

I don’t mind wet trimming. I just hate final trim. I usually don’t bother final trim. I just work on tightening up my wet trim. If something has to have a final trim. IPower Kief Thief it is. @anonymous4289

It’s the lazy boy bud trimmer.

It costs around the same as a bowl trimmer.
The thing I like about a bowl trimmer is as the fingers move the Buds around they compact more and have a better shape. Once the Buds are dried I tend to give them a slight manicure.

So is the consensus that these type of wet trimmers are worth it if you have a bulk yeild to get through?

I love that i can leave the branches whole so i can wash right afterwards.

Wet trimmers don’t knock as many trichomes off as people think. I’d definitely NOT use a bowl trimmer on dried Buds as that will as the trichomes will be brittle.

I think they work fine for bulk to get through… As long as you don’t beat the flower up too much.

I imagine like any tool you’d develope finese and figure out the most appropriate way to do a thing.

A shovel can move shit; but you can also use it to make an Adobe!

It did leave a huge pile of blackberry fire kief on top of the shake. Made legit oil :100:

Turning the bowl trimmer slowly is what they recommend BUT it’s only to stop the silicone fingers breaking off.
If your harvesting huge amounts of bud just buy a new one for each harvest :man_shrugging:
They can easily cut your harvest time by 3/4

It’s a win win then really. Bud to smoke plus an abundance of oil for cooking. :call_me_hand:

I have one of these and I really like it. Played with shiming the blade to get it closer to the plate and that helped. The plate is better designed I think and more rigid than the inexpensive ones as you can see by pics. Manual not electric.

I don’t grow lots of plants but I still hate trimming, I don’t spin it like crazy and still get good results.

Next time I use this will be placing buds into Cannatrol from trimmer.:partying_face::partying_face:
