You have to go by the trichome heads to judge when to harvest for the best results.
Get a jewelers loop, or if the camera on your phone is a good one- do close-up photo’s of the bud to check that they are all headed up and cloudy. All clear means they aren’t ready… and if you prefer couch-lock body buzz- wait until a couple here and there start to turn gold.
It is never by pistil color- because all kinds of environmental factors can make them change no matter how far along they are…then they make new ones!

I believe that you are referring to foxtails.

@blowdout2269 I think he was saying that the pistils started to die then it made new ones-- normal growing process but he’s unfamiliar… foxtails are more than just pistils–

That’s entirely possible.
I just see a lot of foxtailing aswell.

yeah…common in a lot of strains, especially Sativa Dominants…
