It's time to grow some bud, come on along for the ride

My supplements (pre-workout) have always come with desiccant packs, to keep them from clumping.

Hey there OG, just dropping in for an update. I am liking the view in this tent much better than I did. Things are progressing fine and the plants seem happy for the most part. The clones I dropped in there are doing good as well so that’s good news. It’s a Limed Orange on the left and a Matt Berger Bubba Kush clone. Here are the plants today.

Glad you figured something out! Remaining plants look on a good track.

It was a fun experiment but yeah, glad to have things looking better. They are still not perfect but that’s cool, gotta love the veg stage and it’s ability to allow you to fix issues.

Did you order the clones?

No, the Bubba was a group buy with some other members, and the other came from @DannyTerpintine. Well, really, they both came from him as he held a clone for me over the summer.

You’re gonna love what that thing will do @DougDawson !

I’m excited for you. This Bubba is the only thing that calms my nervous system down enough to actually sleep at night!

That looks gorgeous! I’m glad the Bubba works so well for you! @Pigeonman

I’m actually working on a Bubba X Moon Medic Og back cross of sorts right now. I’ll def share a few of those with you when they’re ready (prob another grow or two though), I think it will be like Bubba on steroids from a medicinal perspective.

@DougDawson Gardens looking gooood! Glad the clones are nice and happy too! :100:

@DannyTerpintine PLEASE AND THANK YOU!

I’ve got 3x SSDD F2 BX1’s growing and if 1 is a male I’m doing a MB:BK x SSDD F2 BX1 for the same reasons!

Those will prob make a nice tasty cross! :100: :fire:

Thanks bud. It was a rough start but am now feeding the Jack’s Tap formula and the plants seem content. Now the question becomes, which ones are males, lol.

Hey there OG, just dropping by to post a few pics. Didn’t water the plants yesterday and today they were almost all dry as a bone. Now while that isn’t the best, I wanted to see how they were feeding and the remaining plants are feeding fine so I gave them a healthy watering tonight and will make sure they are watered daily. So here they are tonight.

I am really liking how the Blue Kush is coming along.

So it looks like the swan dive this run was taking has at least taken a detour. Have a great night OG.

JR Peter’s / Jack’s Professional 20-20-20 General Purpose:

LINK, LINK.
It has a “significant” amount of ammoniacle nitrogen in it, from the ammonium phosphate (instead of say, mono-potassium phosphate, for eg.) and the ammonium molybdate (instead of say, sodium molybdate), and possibly something else unlisted(?). Over 50% ammonia relative to the nitrate source.
Plus…
It also has Urea (form of nitrogen); 10.1%.

Jack’s Classic 20-20-20 All Purpose Fertilizer:

LINK.
It has 17.9% Urea form of nitrogen. And only 2.9% nitrate source.

If one’s “Part B” (or Part A, depending what company or user is calling it) is typical Calcium Nitrate (like Yaraliva Calcinit) then it also has some ammonia nitrogen in it (a small amount, relative to the nitrate type). Options like PureCal have no ammonia, just as an FYI/example.

It can get pretty…complex, as it’s essentially chemistry, and I’m no chemist, nor trying to claim I know anything in depth at all. But I’m quite sure that the vast majority of “Hydroponic” fertilizers don’t have any Urea in them at all. I think Urea has to be converted to ammonia, and then to nitrate(?). And ammonia (and Urea too, I think) effect the pH of the solution and the root zone/media. For eg., some people/blends use Mono-Ammonium Phosphate to “set” (buffer) the pH of their solution, or to combat pH drift (pH drop, I think). It can also depend on one’s source water “Alkalinity” on what might be preferable or necessary to use or adjust.

I’m just pointing this out for anyone who might’ve been curious about it and want to look further into it. The main thing I noticed about the row of plants in the middle, which were all showing significant yellowing, is that they’re all being fed a fertilizer that has Urea. I’m not sure which “version” of that 20-20-20 was being used, but they both have it, and one seems to have it in seemingly high amounts.

Good luck with the rest of the grow @DougDawson. Things looking up now. Thanks for sharing your mini test/comparison.

Edit: As always, anyone correct me where I’m wrong, or add to it. Thanks.

Hey OG, just a quick update. Plants are doing better and filling out a bit now. Still not perfect but I think we are past the worst of it. They are all on the TAP formula now to make my life easier. It was a fun experiment but now it’s time to grow some bud. Here they are as of now.
