It's time to grow some bud, come on along for the ride

Nice. I found the PPP males had a really strong smell. Kind of like rotting fruit. Smelled better than it sounds.

Sorry if you mentioned this earlier Dougie, but are you using the recommended Jacks ratios? I just started like I said and I dropped the Calcuim Nitrate down and that seems to have improved some of the nitrogen clawing I thought I was seeing. Im using stamdard jacks though and i think you are the Tap version though…

All my problems seemed to come from using the feed chart and clone formula. I switched to the tap formula and stopped using the chart. Instead I took some advice from @Papalag and @Jetdro. Been mixing 5 teaspoons per gallon since and the plants seem to like it.

Good afternoon OG. Just dropping a couple pics from yesterday. Got a tiny bit of tip burn on a couple of them so going to drop the feed from 5 teaspoons per 5 gallons down to 4. Other than that, things are moving along fine. Here are a few pics of the main tent.

That’s easy peasy, are you adding any epsom as well with the tap? I had tried tap formula but for me the A&B seems to work better.

I have actually been using up a bottle of Calmag I had sitting on the shelf. On of the issues I found with Jacks is they have so many formulas. I started with the clone formula but it did not go well at all. I switched to the tap which they liked much better and then moved to the Bloom formula. I think I am just mixing it a bit strong. The tip burn is not horrible but still there. This whole thing has been an interesting experiment and I will definitely run Jacks again. I have always been a GH trio user but Jacks mixes up so much easier for me.

Too strong

Have you tried 1/2 teaspoon per gallon

If using 10/30/20 try 1/2 teaspoons per gallon and add 1/4 teaspoon of Epson and 1/4 teaspoon cal mag

Yeah, that’s what the tip burn showed me. It’s minor but I will be lowering the amount when I mix tonight. I have been using calmag since I had a bottle but do have some Calcium Nitrate and Epson Salt on the shelf. So you figure 1/4 teaspoon of Epson and 1/4 teaspoon of Calcium Nitrate per 5 gallons is good?

I don’t know how you’re feeding what you’re feeding I feed 1 teaspoon per gallon of all the jacks formulas

That’s what I am feeding. Was on 5 teaspoons of Tap and am now using 5 teaspoons of Bloom. I mix in 5 gallon buckets. I hand water daily to runoff.

1/2 teaspoon of 10/30/20 plus 1/4 teaspoons of Epson and a 1/4 teaspoon of 15.5/0/0 per gallon = approximately 550 ppm’s depending on your tap

That’s simple enough. Thanks @Papalag. Does mixing order matter as it does with my GH Trio?

Blends well with other items good luck brother

Thanks. What I am asking is does it matter if I mix the Calcium Nitrate first or the 15.5/0/0 first?

The stuff I’ve read and how I do it is part A(5-12-26) in my case then Epsom salt followed by the Cal nitrate last. I think it has to do with keeping the Calcium from precipitating but I’m not 100% on that. It seems to work well and dissolve fully following thar order though.

i always go A then epsom than cal nit last. otherwise something locks out if done other way
