Jaybeezy’s garden

They do work with the plant, but need to eat, so they will continue to eat macro nutrients and break them down into micro nutrients, if the plant is in short supply of something then it will release enzymes and carbs to attract the bacteria that is good for making the food it needs but if enough is present then it will just keep sucking them up until it burns.

Sooooo i did a slurry test…6.8ph 69ppm… @Shadey I’m not sure here lol my pH pen was freshly cleaned and calibrated yesterday. And i checked my ppm meter and it’s like 10ppm too high so really I’m at 59ppm.

While it looks like what you described my test says otherwise.

I think what I’m going to do is feed at a lower pH about 5.9 and flush it like completely flush it. So my thinking behind that is that it’ll basically be refresh the soil hopefully getting everything in check. I’m going to check the rest of my plants and report back with a picture of my findings

You’re media is likely limed, that would keep the pH around 7.0 no matter how much you flush. Sounds to me like your pH is fine.

You’re plants look pretty healthy to me. Often we can make things worse by chasing “deficiencies” I suggest a nice dose of LITFA!

GAHHHH but my slurry suggests that they have very little food in the soil though…maybe it’s time to experiment i have 6 plants i only want 4. The reason I’m relying on slurry tests to tell me what’s wrong is because with this line that is the first thing they ask anyone who has problems. And they give advice based off of slurry tests

2 plants just water no run off just normal watering
2 plants a normal feed
2 plants flushed with a feed at 5.9 -6.1 pH

Blue team is going to get a normal feed
Red team is flush feed
Yellow team is just water

Yellow team is just water because nute burn on one and the other looks fine no problems really just stunned growth

Red team both have the spots on the leaves calcium deficiency or nute burn

Blue team one plant is lookin funky kinda fading and the other has started yellowing at the bottom

I’m just going to stop testing they’re all about the same tho after sitting for a few mins the ppm goes up but not what i would like to be. Maybe it’s what they like hmmmm

A low PPM on the slurry test means they are eating, you could try bumping up the feed a tad, but their color is good. Keep an eye on the spotted leaves, but it is normal of lower, older, leaves to die off as the upper canopy gets bigger.

With any new nutrient use you’re going to have to adapt to your strains and environment, most growers I know always have to reduce recommended doses, as they are always to strong.

So don’t just accept their schedules are perfect.

When I started doing no till, I bindly followed some one else’s watering schedule, thinking this is what they need, and after 6 weeks I had the worst fungus gnat plague ever. I didn’t water my plants for nearly 2 weeks, when I realized what I was doing. Now I follow my own schedule and it works for me.

Yeah, no-till creates the perfect condition for fungus gnats. Luckily my worms came with a bunch of soil mites that keep them, mostly, in check.

So now idk what to do lmao

@Shadey i completely agree that’s kinda what I’m trying to figure out.

I think the plant with the burn on the tips I’m
Going to just water

And the others a feed minus nitrogen lol which means no Medusa’s magic and no Athena’s Amina’s it’s final

Fuck it half strength feed lower pH for all that’s my final final decision. The PPMs in the slurry are telling me to feed em after that water lol and go from there

 I think I said that a year ago. :smirk:

But to be honest your plants generally look better than mine.

With the F1s you sent me yeah you suggested that lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: these are from @lefthandseeds

I’m still figuring it out lmao clearly

Thanks for the compliment @cannabissequoia

So i watered 400ml to each at 6.3 ph 350ppm.

Im going to flower soon i can’t get any three gallons till the stay at home order is lifted i want to get this ish in order before the flip

Yeah, I think with all the different types you have, you can experiment with and see which ones suit your purposes better.

Curious question for everyone.

How big of a plant can you get away with in a 1 gallon pot?
Since we’re on a stay at home order here in Colorado i don’t have access to 3 gallon pots should i just wait till the order is lifted? Transplant and flip? That won’t be till April 11th.

It really comes down to often do you want to water and feed them. You can grow a decent sized plant in a party cup, but you would probably have to water it 6 times a day.

Damn but when does root hound become an issue

Well good news i looked a little harder and got 3 3gal pots and a 5 gallon
