Glad you are into mushroom hunting, nature provides an incredible assortment.
Please remember to be careful. Spore prints are easy to make on stuff you are not 100% sure.
No problem with Oysters.
Morels are easy.
Maitake and Lion’s Mane too.

@sunra108 thanks for the words of wisdom!! she’s deff got the eyes …I blame it on the glasses to be fair they were on her side lmao …she spots everything on those good ol back roads ! My buddies been doing it for a while .
He gifted me a pretty in depth book for mushroom identification… also identifies the color of spore print for each species labeled !
He still only harvest what he knows .never strays off the path lol
So far this year we have nabbed …

Oysters/Fall oysters
Lions Maine or possible coral tooth / bears head lol
Shaggymanes …
Had hen of the woods not impressed …maybe they were washed and frozen …

Wise person.
Mushroom hunting clubs are a good way to add to your knowledge of local fungi
especially if there is a mushroom master helping.
I’d Love to hang with Paul Stamets or someone of that caliber. .

True, but easy to distinguish between the two.
We get mostly light brown morels here. Mostly Spring and sometimes Fall.
Very delicious.

Hey I have an electric problem. I have an LED light over the sink in the kitchen. It has recently decided to flicker when you turn it on. It with flicker for about a minute and then stay on. Then tomorrow morning when I turn it on it does the same thing flicker for about a minute and then stay on. If I turn it off and back on…no flicker.
Bulb going out??? Wiring needs to be looked at??? Anyone know anything about it?
