Update 25/10/20
A week later and growth as been going well. I’ve cut them pretty hard back down to the bottom 2 nodes and will now put them into 12/12 to flower. I expect they are still going to be a hand full to manage with the limited height that I’ve got, time will tell.
Before the cuts
And after
I’ll employ training and flopping as required to manage the heights.
Until next update.

Update, 10/11/20
16 days from flipping to 12/12
No pics from last week due to an extended long week end away for a break. I’ve only had a couple of days of this year so far, so it was needed.
First up some individual shots of the 3 plants.
The group shot
In the cab, the canopy is fairly even.
Another week of stretch to manage, I’ll need to flop and tie down as I go this week and then hopefully I’ve got the height left to finish them.
Until next update

Update time Saturday 21/11/20
Day 27 of flowering
Stretching has finished and have managed to control the heights so it should be fine from here on.
A couple of random bud shots
And all back into the cab, still got a couple of inches to spare at this stage for growth.
Until next time

And some close ups
On another note, I trimmed and jarred 2 of the last plants grown and took some pics Showing the weights.
And the 2nd one
They are a bit airy/fluffy, but still nice regardless.
Until next time

2/1/21, theses are a few days after sprouting. 3 Dark Spark’s, from the originals that @Mr.Sparkle gave me back in March 2019.
The shells seem a little hard for the plants to shed, not sure how helmet head will go, time will tell.
That’s all I’ve got going at the moment. Until next update.

Harvest picks of the last lot grown. Only 2 survived and we ended up with this. Just cut and now drying. I do apologise for not posting up pics, but I’ve injured my dominant shoulder 8 weeks ago and have just been looking after the plant’s only.
On an A4 sheet of paper, and on my hand
And the same again for the next 1

Back up and running again with an update.
Had surgery on the shoulder about a week after last posting. Have had it heavily slinged up and not able to use at all for the last couple of months. Finally doing physio and stretching and am aloud to start using it again. I’ve had a couple of plants going but it’s not been easy with 1 arm.
I’ll give some pics of what’s going on at the moment now it’s easier to take photos again.
1st up, I planted 2 more dark sparks 8 and 1/2 weeks ago. One for smoking and 1 for STS reversal. I’ve not tried STS before and wanted to try it out first before using it on some other autos I want to produce some more fem seeds.
This one is the non sprayed one at 8.5 weeks old
And a close up
And the reversed one using STS, sprayed 6 times every 3 to 4 days. She I’ve fully reversed with very little female flowers showing now
And a close up
And the next in line is a Spotted Lime, kindly gifted to me by @JBow918 now at about 6.5 weeks
And a close up
And lastly is a GG#4 auto fem. this one I want to try and reverse with STS to produce some extra seed as I’ve only got 5 more left after this one. At 10 days old
I’ll start another couple in a couple of weeks so that they will be in a good time of about 3 to 4 weeks into flower to receive the femmed pollen, fingers crossed
That about catches up with things, I’ll go back to weekly updates from now.

That reversal looks like it went very well so far.

Yes it has, when I e used colodial silver in the past I usually have a good number of female flowers left. At the moment I’m struggling to find any. I was thinking of trying to leave it to pollinate it’s self but don’t see the point now. It has surprised me at the results so far.
It’s producing pollen, just not a lot which I find the same with the CS. This was just a test to see if it works. I’m going to put some pollen produced into long term freezer storage and check it’s viability at 6 months and at 12 months.

So I forgot to post up last weeks pics, so here they are.
Harvested the Dark Spark. Got some nice fall colours.
Next up the Spotted lime now at 8.5 weeks. Will be checking for ripeness over the next couple of weeks for harvest.
And last one is the Gorilla Glue #4 at around 3 weeks from sprouting.
And a little training to control the height.
I’ll try and get some more pics today and post up latter.

So the experiment begins. I’ve collected some pollen from the reversed Dark Spark, as seen in a previous post, using STS this time and now want to see how long the pollen will store when dried better and frozen.
I had tried out some pollen that was gathered in December 2019, dried for a few days at room humidity and then frozen. Considering that our local R/H is usually around 60% or up I was surprised to see that it did produce a few seeds.
This time I’ve had it drying for just over a week at about 18% R/H in my DIY budget friendly drying chamber, as seen below.
Just a small air tight storage container with a re-chargeable moisture control bag from Bunnings, Hygrometer and some cut down cheap plastic shot cups for the pollen.
The plan is to try every 6 months, there abouts, 1 lot of the pollen and check it’s viability. Time will tell, but documenting it here will help me keep track of it.
The packs
I’ll just test it on what ever I’ve got growing at the Time and just dust a lower bud.

Nice experiment you’re about to do. Never seen those moisture control bags. Are they programable to a specific RH?
Wonder how they would go for storing seeds and controlling moisture etc… That’s if you don’t store in the fridge and only in a cool dark spot.

Hey @invisible, they are reusable by popping them into the microwave, but not programable. Mine was holding around 18% in the container. I’m sure it could be used to dry and store seeds although I’m not sure what the optimum moisture is for seeds.

These latest pics/update are from Sunday evening 15/08/21
First up the Spotted limes now at 10 weeks, I’ll be checking how close it is during the week, but it’s getting close.
And a close up
Next is the GG#4 that is at 4 weeks. This has also received its first spray of STS.
And the next 2 are GG#4 at about 7 days. These will have a couple of the lower branches pollinated when the other GG#4 starts to produce.

This weeks update 23/08/21
First up the Spotted Lime now at 11 weeks, will be harvested in the next day or so.
And a close up
Next up the GG#4, now 5 weeks, that is being sprayed with STS, to make a few more seeds for my self.
And the last 2, GG#4, now at 2 weeks from sprout, that I’ll pollinate a couple of the lower buds with the pollen from the above plant.

This weeks updates, Monday 30/8/21
1st up, GG#4 now at 6 1/2 weeks from sprout. Now sprayed 4 times with STS with 1 more tomorrow.
And a close up, pic not doing it justice, but there looks like tiny “she-balls” developing. Fingers crossed.
Next 2 plants are the GG#4’s now at 3 weeks tomorrow. 1 is a little better developed as you can see I’ve started to tie the bigger one down. The next one will be started in the next day or so.
They still aren’t showing any signs of flowering, but the one above showed at just over 3 weeks tho.
And
Until next week

Update 7/9/21
GG4 now at 7.5 weeks from sprout. Last sprayed with the STS 1 week ago with definite results showing. Notice the 2 upper buds on the first photo showing the pollen sacks. These are the 2 lower buds of the plant, but the rest of the buds above them are still showing mostly flowers at this stage.
Found the first pollen sac opened last night, so I gave it a flick and a little cloud formed so I might try and self it’s self with so many flowers still showing.
Some close ups
And the next 2 GG#4’s now 4 weeks, developing and just starting to flower.
Till next week
Cheers Johnny

Update 16/9/21
GG#4 reversal now at 9 weeks tomorrow.
And a top view.
The top right 2 buds are mainly pollen sacks, the rest are mostly flower buds which are showing self pollination is happening. I noticed the first signs of the sacks opening and showing a tiny amount of pollen about 10 days ago. Not much but I’ve been flicking the branches to release some pollen to self it’s self.
And a couple of close up shots
The next 2 are the GG#4 now at just over 5 weeks.
And
And the next 2 are the Dark Spark pollen onto the Spotted lime,
DS x SL about 1 week from sprout. Was just checking if the last STS reversal was viable and dust a little bud with the DS pollen. I’ll see how they turn out.
Until next up date
